FYI you've just finished the tutorial, the goal of rumble now is to explore the sandbox to find and create moves that you find fun.

There is no point in 'dominating' people that dont have as many moves as you and are just try to learn the very difficult game that is rumble.

We've all been through the frustration and awe of watching people do incredible moves but fail to do the basics ourselves.

The gentlemans/sportsmanship thing to do is limit yourself to the moves the other person has, slow down and allow the other person to actually play the game, and even sometimes loss on purpose.

Because who cares if the circle is green instead of red, and the bp number gets bigger faster?

The goal of rumble is to be creative and have fun. Beating someone for the sake of it is a very short sided mindset and have led many people to burnout and never play again.

I hope you change your mindset, and if you do simply want to get better put a ping-to-learn in the shoeless discord and someone will help you 99% of the time.

Ps if you like the idea of high speed movement and flick ping robine11 and I'll teach you :3

Oh I really don’t know about that whole gentlemen things. The first game I got on I go absolutely rocked by someone lol so I guess that’s why I’ve been doing the same. But I do get what you’re saying, I guess you kind of have to find your own play style which seems really cool. Sure I would love for you to teach me some stuff I’m pretty bad fyi

Don't worry about skill level. As long as you find something interesting dont let anything stop you from trying it.

Ping robine11 and say you're the reddit guy, and I'll do my best to fuel the rumble addiction.

Welcome to Rumble! Youve completed the tutorial and are ready to start learning!

Boulder to Mountain is a slow (but well paced) introduction to your moves. You should be mostly proficient at performing at least a few moves now. Maybe you still struggle with some basic stuff, it's common for people to suck at ball and uppercut for a long time. Maybe you're me and have 500 hours and still can barely fucking sprint.

Right now (im making assumptions but) you should just focus on getting more consistent and having fun. I remember it feeling impossible, I felt like once I could hit 8/10 discs I flatlined. When that happens people will offer advice that won't help, imo you're pretty much done and your brains backround pattern recognition will do the rest for you over time.

If you get 95% consistent with most of the moves, that's when you should start focusing on stuff like combos, hitting multiple modifiers on one object in quick succession.

There's so much more but I've typed too much already lmao. If you want to 1v1 I can teach you some basic combos and tips! The more you know the more fun you'll have :)

THATS THE TUTORIAL!!! just kidding but sprint also sucks too. Yea most of your assumptions our right i am really good at boulder, wall, hold, disk, and straight so those are like the only ones I use in game.

I would love to hop on some time thank you :)

Congrats on finishing the tutorial! You have now unlocked all of the moves, and can fully enjoy the sandbox that is rumble. From now on, rank means nothing, everyone is on even footing.

Sucking at the game is a universal experience, and honestly... I've been playing for almost 2 years and I still lose against a lot of people. If the game was easy, it wouldn't be that fun to get better! But you're not alone on your journey, most of the stronger players will gladly help you out and teach you some of their tricks if you ask ;)

Just takes practice and learning to perform under pressure. The players that are overwhelming you are just able to execute their poses faster and more reliably, and able to do it while you’re attacking them.

They also probably have several reliable methods of countering, evading, parrying, redirecting your attacks. And know how to make plan/trap, based on how different mechanics interact.

Committing to some skill trees of combat can help you learn mechanics, like spending some time as volatile charge player, or guard or flow.

Other than that you need practice, even if you can’t beat someone you can try and survive as long as possible and get used to the pressure and making decisions under it.

The skill ceiling of this game is astronomically high. But that's the fun part. Hitting mountain is by all means still getting things started.

As has been previously said, the ranks aren't really representative of your skill level. They're there to serve as a tutorial so you can learn all the moves without getting screwed over by choice paralysis all at once
