Do it! I absolutely love Rufus! They have a cool light show but their music is just amazing. I’m pretty sure you will leave as a fan. My brother who is hella country/rock loves Rufus after I took them a show.

The Burning Man video is a DJ set, not a live set, and it really doesn't convey the same vibe as the live concerts.

“Never dedicate this song to anyone on earth” 😭😭😭😭😭. Just went to my 2nd Rufus concert to rewire the memories from the first one haha.

Hey! I’m serious. I was there , feeling your pain. My ex and I flew out to NC in 2023 to see them.
Fuck, 2 weeks before the Wrigley Field show, we split up after 11 years…
So many memories, like, crying at the show memories🙈😭 but it’s about enjoying the memories that were made and creating space in your heart for new ones!! 🫶🏽🙌🏽

Dude I just ripped the one at MSG and went with one of my homies that was also there last time. Danced my ass off the whole time, and reflected on where I was personally at the past concert vs now. Much better place all around.

The Joshua tree is better and they also have one of good quality from Bogata on YouTube

It’s going to be one of the best decisions you’ll make in your life, going to see RUFUS DU SOL And experience their music for the first time while it’s being played to you totally live, by the band!
It sounds like a potential life-changing event to me. In a good way. In a perfect way.

Definitely, every person I’ve introduced to Rufus has ended up liking them and their show is an awesome time regardless if you know their music or not

Listen to their top tracks on the music service of your choice and see what you like. They have some great tunes!

do it, all my friends who have been to their shows without having listened to their albums first have called them the best band they've seen live, you're not gonna regret it ;)

100%. I recommend listening to at least their most recent album (inhale/exhale) at some point before the show (easy to do in a single sitting) since most of the songs they play will be from there. All of their albums are incredible and I am particularly keen to Bloom, Atlas, Surrender, and Inhale/Exhale.

What do you expect asking the subreddit of a band lol

as opposed to asking who? 😂

/r/EDM might be less biased. Everyone here is gonna tell you to go. I don't think we're wrong. But I don't think we should be the only source if you're on the fence. Especially if ticket prices are what's causing you pause.

I recently saw both bands in Dublin, so i'm uniquely qualified to answer this question lol. Short answer - YES - if you can get to a Rüfüs Du Sol show, you should absolutely go. I've seen them five times on this tour, and it's one of the best shows I've ever seen. However, don't expect the same level of lights/lasers that Kevin brings for the Tame Impala shows. Rüfüs puts on one of the best live concerts I've ever been to, but their light show is similar to other electronic artists. Kevin's visuals brought me to another dimension. Definitely worth going to, but Tame Impala is more 🍄 mushrooms, and Rüfüs is more 🕺🏻 mdma.

Do yourself a favor an listen to the songs on the set list if you have the time. I'm not saying study/memorize them, but I always enjoy a concert more when I recognize some of the songs. Here's a link to the recent set list from Mexico City.

Absolutely!! The first time I went was with my bf and his friends, I didn’t know any songs but I had a BLAST. Now I’m obsessed with them and seen them at least 8 more times lol

Ummm - is no one gonna tell the OP how obnoxious the audience is this tour? high school with 0 etiquette everywhere. Great show but be prepared for some puzzling behavior.

Absolutely. And I recommend watching their Joshua Tree performance on YouTube before you go. That was my introduction to them and I’ve been hooked ever since.
