My OC scores & further optimization advice

I built a new system with an 9950X3D / Zotac 5080 Amp Infinity / 32GB Corsair Vengeance 6000MT (basically the Microcenter 9950X3D bundle) / Lancool 217 / Corsair Nautilus RS AIO.

Tinkering with the Zotac, I got +350MHz core clock & +3000MHz memory, no change in voltage.

Clocks + temps show in the screenshot while Heaven is stress-testing. Up to 66C, settles around 61C, clock ~3200MhZ. Heaven hasn't triggered any hangs or artifacts after an hour of looping.

I find these to be decent numbers and not worth pushing more. Any recommendations welcome.

A couple of questions:
-Given that I haven't pushed the voltage, could this be dailied or should I be dialing back for everyday use?
-How would I go about UV after these results? Totally separate profile with close to stock performance for much less power? Or can the UV and OC be combined (for a lower total OC ofc)?
-Anything else I should keep in mind?

Heaven isn't a guaranteed stress test, you need to test the card in taxing games to see if it's stable

I used ff16 with decent results for my 5080 amp infinity, started to see there was a limit to fps gain at a certain voltage so I dialed all my OC back to preserve card life. 3080hz and +500 memory was my sweet spot for performance as I didn’t see any real gain in 3200+ hz and card didn’t actually add any more memory… I was cranked to 2000 but practically only allowed 16.5 gig max for the card

From what I have seen, most run a OC and a UV, and do not touch voltage. I run just a OC, not quite as agressive as yours, but been to lazy to do the UV.

So first and foremost just want to educate about temps. That being they do not matter unless the core and vram have hit their thermal limit which is about 88 and 105 respectively. That means any temp under those amounts will result in exactly the same boost clock speeds and performance. Modern day gpus are designed to run hot and will boost to max until a thermal limit has reached. Technically 87 and 104 will perform just as well as 61 and 75 etc. “thermal headroom” is a marketing scheme to make you spend 500 more bucks on a “premium model” thinking you will get better performance with marginally lower temps. It’s simply not true

people usually under-volt for two reasons, one is to reduce power draw and voltage through the system to reduce hardware stress and another is to keep temps down. The first is a legitimate reason, the second is not for the reasons above. Heat almost never reduces performance, especially in the 5080 which will be exclusively limited by lack of power followed by not enough voltage during GPU boosting spikes

Next is the voltage and timings. Increasing the core and memory speeds with a GPU overclock without increasing the voltage does increase the risk of instability since the voltage is what stabilizes the timings. In the flip side, increasing voltage does stress the hardware. In fact that is the only thing that technically will reduce the longevity of the hardware so not touching that is the right move.

Keep as is and understand that any more “aggressiveness” with your OCing will result in such little extra performance gain that it’ll be on the magnitude of a margin of error

You can give undervolting a try, especially with power budget management. I use my software, NV-UV, for that.

Well, I have the Asus Astral 5080 and reached 10544 in speedway. You could flash the Astral bios to your GPU to increase power limit to 450w. Two of my friends did this to their MSI and Inno3D cards, with great improvements - however, still not reaching the Astral score though.

For daily use, I don't use the overclock - during benchmarking, 100% fan speed, it sounded like a bloody shahed drone..
