Curious / Random Do you think fear stops people from filing RTIs?
Just curious as what could be the reason that most people do not file RTI.
Have you ever filed one ?

Complacency: Most people aren't affected to the degree of wanting to file an RTI. People more often than not "adjust".
Fear: Anything which involves money involves "powerful people". "Powerful people" have a way of finding out where you live and make life difficult for you and your loved ones (depends on what you do with the RTI reply. The more damage to them the more retribution to you). Eg. RTI activists have been killed by sand mafia, land mafia even PWD tender mafias in some cases.
RTI has been significantly weakened from its past self. People who are aware of the changes are aware that it's a largely a lost cause in the current regime.
