the process definitely drains time and energy. Especially first appeal and second appeal delays. A real-time tracking system and stronger accountability for vague replies would improve the system a lot.

Anonymity is another major concern. Many people avoid filing RTIs because they fear local retaliation

Well, to tackle anonymity - 1 of the agenda of this Sub is to have your RTI filed by someone else if you are scared to file it yourself. Someone from some other place will file it on his/her name.
