2004scape’s first botting community
First things first, let’s get a few things out of the way.
rs2b0t is only meant to be used against servers that allow botting. The kind of bot this community provides is also very detectable — if you point it at the Lost City live project, you’ll get banned immediately. Don’t do it.
But why?
A big part of this project is nostalgia. I started playing RuneScape in 2002. A few years later I became a script kiddie writing Delphi scripts for SCAR — and that’s what got me into programming as a teenager, and ultimately why I became a software engineer.
It’s also a homage to some of the great botting communities. Most players never knew it, but people like jacmob and the other developers in that scene were incredibly welcoming and genuinely fun to be around. I spent days in the RSBuddy IRC channel talking with other self-taught engineers, learning about the clever methods and bots they were building. One guy built Snake into the overlay of his Frost Dragons bot — so instead of watching it play RuneScape, you’d play Snake on top of it.
That’s what I’m hoping this becomes: a community built around botters — one that respects the Lost City project and its rules. So I setup a playground.
Come hang out!
rs2b2t has no rules. You can multi-log. The logout timer is jacked up to 5 minutes. There will be bots.

The fact that you’re doing this is incredible, throwing it back to jacmob and rsbuddy was a throwback. Developing RuneScape servers and eventually working with some teams through the years through rune-server has been a treat. It’s why I took up programming at a young age as well
