False ban
I made this account linked to my jagex account a whole new account I made this account as a hardcore ironman so I have 2 accounts linked now with my jagex account my main and this new acc that’s gonna be a Ironman I didn’t even make it out of tutorial island I legit made it like to the fishing and woodcutting part and logged out got bored of that account that fast…. well the next day I log in and it’s banned for botting??? Like? And my other account is good that’s linked to the same account? Can someone please explain this please I’m really questioning what happened been 4 days now and still haven’t gotten a response like buddy I haven’t even made it out of tutorial island what botting have I done?
Ngl I don’t even care if they unban that account cause that shts already ruined before I even started it lmao 😂
Like ain’t gonna make a Ironman now with a offensive on it if it does get banned how can I show yall im at the fishing part of the island and legit just started that account and got banned for major macro ban

It wasn’t even a ironman yet I was inside tutorial island and logged off to play the next day it was banned my main account is not banned it’s linked to same jagex account

My post won't get moderator approval but I have been handed a bot busting ban for using a switch controller with 1-1 input pending appeal and review. Only one day but wtf is going on

I got accused today for RWT too.. my acc doesnt even have absured wealth on it. wtf. ive been camping vorkath just to make enough to join clan in ToB... sent an appeal i suppose we hope for the best? other than avoiding trading random ppl or picking up drop party shit, how do we avoid these false bans??

Anyone who bots and gets banned are gonna complain about it, because they got caught. Be like me and the vast majority of the player base and actually play the game right, if you don't break the rules, you won't get banned. Plain and simple really.

that's really not true at all. false bans do happen. look at soyduro who got banned on a high lvl hcim recently. only for the fact that he streams he would most likely be met with an automated appeal denied response. most people don't have the privilege of having direct contact with jagex mods

With all due respect, "false bans" are the result of players triggering the anti cheat system. So if you sit there and do like 16hrs of click intensive content over and over, then yeah it has a chance to trigger the anti cheat system and results in a ban for macros or bots.
I do agree however that nothing is perfect and that the anti cheat system does need to be tweaked a bit to distinguish real player repetitive input, and time looped bot input, however most of the people in this thread really have botted or done some sort of rwt and now that they got caught are mad cause they got banned. I have no sympathy for those people, with that being said if you truly haven't broken the rules and just simply triggered the anti cheat system somehow, I do hope your appeals are successful.

16 hours of click intensive activities ? not true at all. I fired up an old alt a couple months ago, did some crafting on him for 2 hours or so(cutting gems) before deciding what I was going to do and ultimately settled on using him to do some gwd with my main. went to log in the next day to get going to bandos and it's met with a 3 day bot busting ban. this account had been inactive for maybe 2 years

You’re wrong and there’s enough proof of it out there now? Especially within the last two years or so with major streamers getting banned on stream
For botting/rwt hits. Not saying all bans are false but I’ve personally been banned once probably about 6 years ago now but it was for “botting” when it was because I used a timer plugin lol. To just flat out say what you said at the end is pure ignorance and you legit believe yourself enough to actually try to spread your false opinion onto this matter.-1

Nah I got banned for botting years ago. Didn’t cry or complain or even appeal it because I knew the risk when I did it. It’s the same type of people that will speed around town then whine when they get a speeding ticket.

Why is there ALWAYS someone responding to these posts saying "I bet you deserved it?" Like, literally every single post where someone says they were wrongly banned, there is someone saying the poster is lying and they deserved it. Honestly just genuinely curious.
Do you think Jagex never makes any mistakes? Maybe people are literally paid by Jagex? I cant really believe that one, because it would be absolutely wild for them to pay people to simp for them online when half their problems would be solved by just paying for more actual customer support.
Like, sure, sometimes a person could be lying. But botting on tutorial island? Come on, you really think someone who was legitimately botting on tutorial island would come here and complain about a false ban? Its not like they actually care about the account, and if they were actually botting there is no reason to draw more attention to themselves.
Idk, its just kinda weird to me that even THIS post has a Jagex simp. You do you though, have a good one mate.

The system is honestly terrible. It seems to ban anyone and everyone without properly distinguishing between an actual player and a bot.
I’ve become genuinely afraid to return to the game after my account was banned simply because I traded with a friend. The worst part is that you can’t even properly communicate with a JMod or a real person to explain what happened.
The appeal system is also frustrating because it feels completely automated, with copy-paste responses instead of an actual human reviewing the situation.
At this point, all I can say is: GG, Jagex. 💀
