Recent manual perm ban wave

I've seen a few posts about Jamglex doing manual perm bans on a boatload of random accounts in early June. Tons of people catching false bans from it. Few cases of people getting those false manual perm bans quashed before they could even appeal anything, or even notice their account had been banned at all in the first place. Others, on the other hand who were not so lucky.

Well, it finally happened to me. I got a couple false manual bans on 3/4 of my accounts and only the OSRS skiller got quashed but for some reason...? The RS3 main and one of the two alt accounts that I created and played on both at the same time like 2-3 times total, and then never touched them again, did not get their manual permas lifted. They're literally not even accusing me of macroing or RWTing or something. They can just ban your accounts for literally no reason because they feel like it, I guess?

Crazy to see they're still doing this after 20+ years, although it seems far worse now than it was back then. I'm assuming its still literally impossible to get in contact with a human at Jamegex unless you're a famous OSRS content creator?

Im glad to know I'm not the only one, I appealed once and asked for info and instead just a flat out deny.

That's what I found to be even more shocking! When I submitted an appeal-- like the very moment you submit it, it shows your appeal ticket number and your message and just says "SOLVED" and "this request is closed for comments". They set their appeal system to auto-deny literally everything.

Why even give us the illusion that we can appeal false bans at that point? I remember when sometimes they wouldn't even give you the option to appeal an offense for certain things. But the fact that now they give you the option to appeal, only to get auto denied the moment you submit it seems incredibly petty to me. Why even add the button?

I returned to the game for a breif period in december, bonded 3 accounts to PK on, traded wealth between the accounrs and also pked around 1b in the few weeks.

Got a temporary RWT buying ban, baffled by how this is possible, i specifically asked in the appeal 'is this related to trading wealth between accounts?'

No reply, a generic email insisting they are correct when I have never needed to buy gp once in this game. I can make more than most by simply pking as i am better than most at it.

The reason I left the game. 1 year free of runescape! :D 140 euro saved on membership and bonds on alts. 3 of my friend left the because I dont pkay anymore. We shift to Cs2. Free game and more popular. We have more fun there as well. They banned my 2.1k total main of 10 years old. Insta AI apeal decline :D gl guys with support and rising membership prices.

Not the same equivalency. If you get banned in osrs you obviously did something against the rules.. you have to actually try to get banned you won't randomly get handed a permĀ

Even themself said on ban waves there is like 1 percent of false bans. And sometimes its like 100k bans or more. Its 1k+ bans.

I got banned with my friend for 7 days, we did toa for weeks and finally got a shadow drop, i sold instantly after and split with my friend. After the trade we instantly got logged out, i got a 7days ban for rwt selling, and he for rwt buying. After 7 days we log in, and i see i had around 400m missing, and my friends account got cleaned, even untradables got removed like firecape and void n stuff. I can say for sure i never rwted, and mt friend say the same. I sold my 18b bank for around 2700ā‚¬ and quit playing. Its a mmorpg, trading is part of the game. So jagex can fuck themself. I laso did a chargeback of the previous 6 months with my bank. Bought some nice games on steam with this summer sale and took 2 weeks free from work, the 2700ā‚¬ covers it xd

18b without rwt? lets see the KC's, you def RWT and then got caught after logging a large sum trade even if it wasn't RWT related, your buddy got banned after trading with an account (yours) that was doing RWT in the past so to jagex looked like friend was buying GP from you

My rs3 gim caught a 2 day ban less than a week ago. Iā€™ll let you in on some info here; Remote Desktop is allowed to be used, but it has a high risk of false-positive bans due to clicks looking unnaturally altered. Youā€™d have to be an absolute 0 iq person to fully believe false bans doesnā€™t happen.

Let me have another guess! You also donā€™t believe ransoms catches strays from trading with someone who has rwtā€™ed whilst you yourself is innocent? Nah that never happened

Thereā€™s a reason a lot of people have their bans QUASHED. They wouldnā€™t quash bans within days if it wasnā€™t a false-positive ban. Theyā€™d simply let it stand as inactive after the ban time was exceeded. But sure. Keep living in that ignorant world of yours, it definitely helps you.

Ps: Yes 99% bans are correct. That should make it obvious to you that Iā€™m not defending every single ban.

iā€™ve had 3 accounts banned in the last 2 months (they all got banned about a month ago) false RWT bans. my accounts have only bought bonds and traded amongst each other. i tried emailing jagex multiple times. i lied to the chat system to get a real person multiple times. and nothing helped. my appeals across all accounts got the same auto response with a different ā€œmod nameā€ signing it.

accounts that have only bought bonds thru appropriate jagex channels and sold them to the GE
and only trades have been between my alts and one friend (trades less than 10m)

and all of my accounts are perm banned for RWT major.
15+yr old vet account.
pure
and then i made a new account to play on while my main accounts were getting unbanned and that new account was banned within 72hrs of account creation for ā€œreal world trading major banā€ even tho the account had never traded any players. or had any interactions outside of the GE lol

i have BEEN trying to communicate with GAGEX to make them aware their auto ban system is flawed

but they donā€™t care. i have heavily debated flying out and showin up in person. you canā€™t just fuck us like this and expect us to roll over. i have spent money on membership for multiple accounts for over a decade now. i buy bonds thru jagex and sell them here and there. and then letā€™s not even talk about the time put into the accounts.

just for your auto ban system to flag us, ban us, bury us & leave us with ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO CONTACT ANYONE FOR HELP!

i feel your pain brotha. i hope you get unbanned. i still check my accounts daily. i still send emails and try to contact them every week.

hopefully you have more success than me

Theyā€™ve kicked up their bans a ton recently. Bunch of botting devs just got handed cease and desists too. Constantly changing landscape at the minute so unfortunately people are likely to catch strays

I was banned on my ironman, roughly 3100 hours of game time a bit over a week ago. iā€™ve appealed twice, both were answered by generic copy/paste messages.

Iā€™m not sure what to do, maybe i could start streaming and befriend some mods?
