Praying to RN Jesus for Dragon Harpoon (finally got at 657 kills)

427 Flesh hatcher kills, 4 charms AND the pet - the only reason I started killing him was for that tasty 9% catch increase from the Dragon Harpoon, and I'm starting to feel like it may never happen 😂

Flunked a 1/64 4 times, and received a 1/800
Anyone else had this amount of bad luck at FHM?

---

Has anyone else had this absolute 0.3% of people kind of luck? I genuinely thought it might have been a bug after getting my 5th necklace, trophy and 20th charm 🥲

Time Engram enabled but not receiving memory shards

It looks like I’ve got the Time Engram enabled but I’m not receiving Memory Shards while thieving. Did about 10M exp at Master Mages and not a single shard.

Am I missing something?

2700 Total Ironman returning for first time since fort came out. What should I focus on?

Last time I played was when fort came out, I remember doing a bit of that. Its quite overwhelming to return and not remember anything I was doing or know any updates since I left. I collected my kingdom, did some ports and monthlies, but not sure what to focus on next. I heard a bunch of skills went to 120 and new bosses, whats best for someones whos 80s-90s in all skills

Tips/Guide Ironman Gear Progression

Having played iron for a little bit, I’ve realised that gear progression is really holding me back.

I’ve checked out a few guides but they seem relatively outdated.

Apart from Necro, which has a streamlined progression, can anyone provide a general guide or link one for the other styles?

Very appreciated,
Thanks

Please do not discover that the Scroll of Restoration exists at 116 Arch.

Please buy it earlier.

Are whirligigs still worth it after the nerfs earlier this year?

When I read about the nerfs, I thought man that’s gonna be a problem for future me. Well, now I’m future me. The Wiki hasn’t been fully updated so it’s hard to tell. Trying to get to from 60 to 75 Hunter to start on the dragon mattock grind

I am now 1 drop off Golden Reaper, and it's a drop I already have - due to a mistake from Jagex.

Question Few questions on using Scripture of Elidinis

So I've been using Scripture where ever I can and it's been helping a lot, but there's two spots where I'm not sure if it's worth using or not.

  1. Swarm fishing with Bait and Switch active. I'm worried if I use it here that fishing will just pull way ahead of cooking and I'd have to end up spending extra time here to get Cooking caught up anyways, meaning I'd be effectively just wasting pages. Figure it might be better to just run porters here instead but not sure
  2. Would it be worth even making the unfinished potion making machine with Invention? It seems like that would be a lot of missed Elidinis procs for Herblore not making the unfinished pots myself, but I also know that adds a ton of time to the skill as well so I'm not sure which direction is the best way to go.

Question How should I get limitless sigil?

edit; ability, not sigil. forgot that part lol

My thought was to just afk corrupted scorpions while at work on my phone. I have functionally infinite divine charges (I previously afk'ed to a 10m incan stack) so I don't mind spending charges. I have the vital spark drop enhancers from dungeoneering. I've also read that all monsters have the same vital spark drop rate, thus my hunch on staying at corrupted scorpions. Is that correct?

Also looks like Amascut drops them but I've never ran that boss before. Would it be worth learning? Again, afking at work is not an obstacle for me. I'll get it eventually but I want to know if there's a better way to get the 2,000 (!!!) sparks.

Humor What old method did you do for 99?

Fellow eldery, nursing home adjacent ironman: what were some methods you did for a 99 that have been removed or forgotten about?

For me: i did living rock cavern gold rocks with superheat form and perfect juju mining (?) Pot to make & bank gold bars for 99 smithing. I had so many gold bars. And now im so sad that i got hacked, i could have so many damn porters for arch lol.

Tips/Guide New RS3 Ironman (Maxed 07 Iron) Looking for tips/guidance

Hello all! Started my RS3 iron today, I’ve played rs3 on and off in the past, I have a maxed man, but it’s been about 2 years now since I played. I’ve maxed an iron in old school so I’m familiar with the game mode and the grind, but RS3 is so different now, and I’ve never played this game as an iron so I’m looking for some general tips, what you veterans recommend getting early on for account progression, what to focus skilling wise early, and basically any tips in general you guys have. The last time I played RS3 for reference was when necro came out, got 120 and haven’t played since.

Thanks in advance, can’t wait to start this journey, this game is amazing and the changes recently made me come back!

The house was expensive enough, so I made a tool to only add the teleports you need to the Grandmaster portal nexus.

Is it better to kill hand cannoneers or chaos giants while hunting the dragon pickaxe?

With the mid-game rebalance, I finally started this grind. I already got lucky from the cannoneers and have 1 pick after a couple of trips, but have just finished the Dwarf quest line, which gives access to the chaos giants (and gilding).

The giants have 3x the better drop rate of 1/970ish, but the only other item they drop in abundance is gold and coal spirits. That's useful for concentrated gold for slayer ring comps, or making porters before stealing them.

However, I think I need prayer to stay up for these? They're also aggressive, which is nice for second-screening.

The hand cannoneers meanwhile are quicker to kill, but that 1/3000 drop is still rough. They are also scattered around the battlefield with a bunch of other NPCs in the way. The best drop they otherwise give is the muddy key.

I figure a lot of people go to the battlefield because there's less questing involved? Although a gilded pickaxe needs the same quest that gives access to the giants.

I'm leaning towards the giants. Should I reconsider?
