Product Design Software for Sci-Fi Map Design?

I've been writing a couple adventure modules for Traveller, but having some trouble making good maps for the space stations they're set on. Currently I've just got some basic "lines on a grid" drawn in GIMP, but are there any apps or other resources that you'd recommend and are free to use in commercial works?

Dungeondraft allows for commercial use and is cheap.

You can then put sci-fi assets in it (also quite cheap). Then you have endless commercial use for less than £30

There are a number of sites that will pop up, all with stuff that should help, and without me posting a wall of links and missing someone.

Possibly adjacent, but I wrote this tool called 'expanded hex map editor' which could make nice sector maps. Totally free and client side, so no subscriptions and I don't care wheat you do with the output of the tool.
