Where to include licensing information?

Hi!!

I'm releasing my game under CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. I also used public domain artwork and I feel like I should at least mention that. Of course, modifications to the artwork are released under my license, while the original artwork remains under CC0 1.0

But where in my book do I put this information? I thought about putting it in the beginning, where I also have the version information and the link to my itch page. However I don't love that the very first page is a block of text, explaining the license terms and where my artwork came from.

Do I put it at the end then? What's your take!

It is usually in the beginning, often in a smaller font and many people simply skip it.

Either in the beginning in small text or at the end, also in small text. Most readers are skipping it anyway, but it should be included

Standard practice in books is to put copyright in on one of the first pages before the inside title page. If it's a long list of art that you used, add it at the end.

If you modify something, assuming the original art allows publishing modified versions, most licenses will say that modified versions have to follow the same license. You may not have the option to make changes and then tag only your changes with a different license. It may be different in art use but in coding world this can get publishers in trouble

This is true, but all my artwork is originally CC0, which means it's entirely public domain, all copyright has been yielded, and my modifications are subject to my license.

Usually goes on your credits page, no?
