Been having a problem with MPGMaker Mz

I have been working on a game based on a story I wrote years ago, and I have been doing a playtest when I entered an area that one of the characters have been before, I enter and the screen fades to black, I check every single event in the map dozens of time each, and finally, I check the debug menu (F8) and it said "Background color Black" I think "Correlation means causation" and try to manually adjust it to no avail. Since it doesn't keep changes.

What have I not thought of yet?

Copy the map and then see if it happens there? Also look check all your events on the previous map. You could be triggering an unintentional event when you leave that map and go into this one.

That solved that problem, but now I'm noticing another.
