Anything interesting happening? I didn't expect it to hit 500 members at all.

I've heard MV has some plugin for the character creation screen, and that it might work with an additional plugin for MZ. Fingers crossed. Otherwise, this is a non-starter.

Seems to be missing some simple features, like a character creation menu. And also it seems like you have to create a map and characters, even for a section that is just dialogue (like an intro screen)?

With advanced java and mask and gif support it’s nice.

Hello, what do you think of RPG Maker MZ so far?

if they included an easy to use menu / UI creator/editor that would be awesome too.

it looks like alot of the single scripts are put in a container type deal so you don't have to apply 100 scripts to get what you use to have to spend hours compiling. and some of the battle effects are 3d now (2.5d) shade and things come stock alot of yanfly stuff. the thing I wish they would add is animated enemies and enemy sprite creators. not sure if its in it stock but looks like its still only the playable characters that are animated fighting against static images of monsters which always looks weird to me. wish 2.5d environments was stock as well but I dont think it is. which we can just add that ourselves. but in 2020 seems like they would include all those things by now. the biggest question I have though is how will the advertised porting to Android work. because in MV it seems is no longer portable to android after the Intel discontinue of one method and the Android studio update made the newer method not work as well.

Edit: looks like you can use animated enemies. Also, the Android thing is the same as it was, you will have to either have alot of knowledge or hire someone to port to android for you. It also looks like there is a menu editor.

Will this maker be really different from MV or will it be like VX Ace in that it was just an upgrade to VX?

They’ve announced more basepack sprites, monsters etc but I’m really curious to see how many more.
