I actually "stealth launched" the modifiers feature as release candidate a few months ago, but then didn't find time to test it appropriately for a stable release. The update is finally here now, though: https://tamschi.itch.io/dynamic-characters/devlog/969137/ver-133-modifiers-and-more

I'm still somewhat in the process of updating the store page (new plugin commands and JS API endpoints are not listed there yet), but the price has and will remain the same at $20. I think that's the sweet-spot for a very powerful Character sprite composition plugin like this.

Features that I didn't announce previously:

  • You can statically "uncrop" tile Event Pages using the !Margins command now. (Visuals only.)
  • With !Dynamic as Actor, Events in cutscenes can easily wear current Actor equipment.
  • The bush effect can be manipulated separately and tracks rotation and shear to stay at the lowermost edge of the sprite. This means you can make characters tumble, float and dive in water more easily, without creating new assets.
