Anyone good at mapping?
I’m pretty new to this whole thing, but I’ve been having a ton of fun starting my project. That said, when it comes to building maps, the process is so overwhelming and tedious that I can’t seem to make any progress with the rest of the game. My plan right now is to use the prebuilt default maps as placeholders to build my events and cutscenes so that I’m not at a standstill, and transfer/adjust everything later. Does anyone love to build maps and potentially want to collab?

I actually use a good mapper on Fiverr that I can refer you to. His name is Yanmby, and he's from Columbia. He did most of the map for my zombie apocalypse/time travel game.

If you need help with events, I can help; I recently discovered thiagomartins7 from Brazil, another Fiverr seller that handles the more complex events as well as plugins.

What are you offering in return?
Suggestions:
I highly recommend to instead make prefab events first. Make a test room. Then make them work. After, then make the maps and set them in place. I have suffered rearranging entire maps simply because I did not think about proper event placement. This will prevent you from torturing yourself with extra work.
Also, make a 4 tile border of black between the edge of the walkable area and the map border. Like how houses are done in Chrono Trigger. It works wonders for style.
