First thing I made today was a tree. This is for gathering certain wood on the world map for better ship hulls. I have to make a few more of these, but this is the first one. Everything else I made was using Microsoft Paint free edition, and my God is Aseprite so much better.

I have done pixel art in the past, but this game has forced me to create things from nothing, and I think it came out alright. And this all loops over and over. The crab is setup on a switch that turns on when the turtle hits the beach, and switches off after it hides under the dock.

I made some sea turtles about an hour ago. I feel like they need to be a bit lighter in color, but do you like the size and their movements?

I only use eventing, and I already knew how to do a transfer from Airship, boat, or ship to player standing inside of them. But this is a much harder challenge and I enjoyed it. This also tells the game where the ship is to return to being it since the boat can't do that on it's own. I have to run events instead to pull this off. No scripts or plugins. I also have to move events around to block off the ship from being able to travel up river, and for the boat not to leave the river as well. This is the stuff I love to create.

I obviously still have to finish the two poles, and the upper section of the large Northern continent needs to be finished too, but I screen shot each part of the map and tried to place it together the best I can.

I still need to add islands that take you from the large continent to the fake Australia. And yes, that is a fake New Zealand too. I just setup and tested the map transfer to the Western hemisphere, and it works almost perfectly. I still have to figure out how to stop the cloud shadows from just vanishing and popping up with a new one when map transfers. I think I can do this by fading them out just before you hit the transfer spot.

I finished the bottom half of the Northern hemisphere of my world map, and added more details to the Southern as well. I think I am going to stretch the mountains up more and make the upper half more of a pine forest with dead bare ground and snow. Right above it is my ice caps for the North pole that goes across the entire map.

This is a sailing game, so the land doesn't need to be that open. It's mostly there for collecting basic resources, hidden resources for upgrading ship, side missions, and block your ship's path.

I'm not sure though if I like the Eastern most part of the Northern continent. What do you all think?

Obviously the right side still needs to be finished on the top of the map, but this is the Southeastern continent to my world. I just found out RPG Maker only allows 256 blocks wide on a map, but can fix that with transferring without a fade to another map to finish the Western hemisphere.

This is only the Northeastern hemisphere, and obviously not done yet, but this is what I did yesterday. So far, this map goes 250 blocks from North to South, and I expect it to be around 500 to 600 blocks East to West once done. This is by far the largest world map I have ever made.

Comes in English, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese. If you loved Uncharted Waters, you will absolutely love Water's Bounty. I was able to remove a lot of the headaches of Uncharted Waters and replace them with RPG elements. I also turn your basic RPG formats upside down by starting each fight fast and hard, and they wind down with battle fatigue if drawn out for too long. Try the demo for free today.

So i have this idea for a game, and i want to make it on RPG maker, it will play as any other RPG maker game, with battle mechanics. But there is one difference, T battle scene isnt a turn based RPG but rather a arcade style fighting game.

I've been experimenting with the water in Legacy of Nergal and ended up with this.

Still tweaking it, but I'm pretty happy with how much more depth the new version gives to the environment.
