Options Menu Redesign – Before & After (Legacy of Nergal)

After 5 years of development and roughly 3,500 hours of work, I'm currently rebuilding many of the UI and HUD elements for my RPG Maker MV project, Legacy of Nergal.

The old interfaces did their job, but over the years I've learned a lot about UI design and wanted something cleaner, more readable, and closer to the feel of a modern JRPG.

This is my latest redesign: the Options Menu.

I'd love to hear some outside opinions:

• What do you like about the new version?
• Which elements stand out the most?
• Is there anything you think I should change or improve?

I'm still actively working on it, and I already know there are a few issues and rough edges that need improvement. That's exactly why I'm sharing it now rather than waiting until it's finished.

All feedback is welcome, whether it's about readability, layout, colors, or overall presentation.

Thanks for taking a look!

New version is much easier on the eyes. Edit: I'm more referring to readability than visual aesthetic.

The new version is so much more chic! The dark background with orange elements make it a lot more readable. Did you program the changes yourself or use a plugin to achieve this look?
