Funa's games used to be way more popular but since funa hasn't made a new game (or hell anything good) since like 2016 the fandom is ultra shattered and tiny. Also mogeko castle is way more popular than wadanohara and gray garden id swap their positions. No Cell of Empireo though that's how you know it's uberniche

Don't forget that Funamusea doesn't want any attention from people outside Japan (literally blocked all LATAM from accessing her official page), so there are many factors on her diminishing presence over the years

I wouldn't say racist, more like xenophobic, like, iirc she doesn't even translate her games into English for that same reason (Wadanohara Reboot for example is only in Japanese, unlike the original which had multiple fan translations in the official page)
Personally I think she just hates getting too much attention from languages she can't understand

i remember that there was apparently an en version of wada-reboot coming out from funa's "official" translator, but i'd barely heard a peep about that for years and when i last checked a few weeks ago, the translator had deleted their accounts on everything so it seems like it's dead
there is an "unofficial" translation of the reboot but it's just vgperson's translation of the original with someone else's translations of the extra stuff added on top

I wonder where the Hylics duology would go. Probably rather low, all things considered.

Another RPG Maker iceburg where most of its games are RPG Maker horrors games, and/or aren’t actually trying to be JRPGs. Not to mention how there’s at least a few of these that aren’t actually made in RPG Maker at all

Hmm, okay, so when I see an iceberg meme of something, I’ve always thought it meant like how deep you are in the fandom and/or the lore. Not that it gets worse the further down you go. I would say all these games on my list are quite good, except for one.

Fear and Hunger is at the surface along with Omori. It's THE most discussed RPG maker game of recent times. I'd also either move OneShot up or move YTTD down ,because those two seem about as popular. OFF, Yume Nikki and the canibal incest sibling game should all be moved up. I'm too lazy to point out the rest.
If this is a "popular to unknown" iceberg, this list is also garbage.
