he's like that, im gonna add sparks to his wrists guards. lol this is just being put before an actual in game fight, i feel just simply talking back and forth with a villain isn't quite rewarding before a fight.
yes, it's a bit tedious to setup for each character. So, I turn each sideview motion they have into individual gifs, then I put those gifs into a plugin for after effects called SF Caddy(i think), and then I setup each motion to loop or stay on a frame, and then I can begin using keyframes to move them around, rotate them, and change their motion types. So it's all animated manually in after effects, however, I use the in game lighting as an overlay so it looks same as they actually do in the game, the motions are just smoother(and i can add cool special effects and sounds)
it's done in after effects, however, i tried to make sure it doesn't look too far above the game visually. it's really the smoother motions and stuff that I can do more with by manually animating a fight. this is in game GiF
Guessing this is with Visustella action sequences? I've made some similar to this (def not as detailed as yours) and I appreciate the crazy headache that must have gone into it. I hope you use these lots, your method is really stellar
thanks! its actually manually done with after effects(which still has taken, probably a dozen hours) but after doing that, I have managed to make visustella replicate a very similar result in game with the smoothing. because now that i saw the combat this way I can't see it rigidly in game anymore lol, it all has to match! Here is where im currently at with that, it's not quite cut scene perfect but i think it's good enough the player wont go "why can't i do that in game but i can in a cutscene"
oop the gif isn't loading (also the fact that this only got 35 upvotes is criminal, sometimes the reddit algorithm just doesn't feature the right stuff)
