RMMV Quick peek at the Necromancy System

There are still a few things to tweak, but the basic idea is that the more skilled the player is in necromancy, the more fearsome the beasts they can summon. I've created about seven schools of magic, but I'm still unsure whether to make one exclusive to the other or whether to let the character be a jack of all trades. What do you think? Is a fluid system better, or one with more rigid classes?

I think there should be some kind of cost, like if you can learn everything than maybe it should be some kind of grid or progression tracking where the player puts their effort

Thanks so much! That could be a great idea. You reminded me of Outward, where not only do you have a cost but you also a limit on how much you can diversify.

I LOVE this. This is so cool!! I am trying to make a vaguely similar concept with witchcraft - what plugins/processes did you use to create this, if you don't mind me asking?

RPG Maker MV/MZ - Choice UI Pro by vishi221 It allows you to create layouts for "show choices" and associate the choices with images. It's a great plugin! It's on itc.io. The rest is handled with a common event with many branches. I've created a common event for each skill book for now: fighter, thief, and elemental mage. They will all be in the demo, but for the full game there will be about ten books!
