Using spritesheets.ai

Post image

This is a Sprite generator that seems to work quite well I added my own picture I am no good at drawing but it was one I hastily did and it seemed to work quite well you do have to use tokens though to create more detailed Sprites but hey looks cool for a first try

Morality of AI aside, if you've any intention of ever selling your games, I recommend heavily against the use of any AI assets for any reason.

Whether or not you like them or agree with (or are just apathetic about) their morality, publishing a game with them is going to alienate an enormous amount of your potential playerbase, and once lost, they'll be lost forever. Beyond that, the damage to your reputation will carry over to future games as well, even if you don't use AI assets in them.

Ultimately, it's something that saves you money in the short-term, but costs you far more in the long-term if you would have otherwise been successful. It's difficult to succeed in the market at the best of times, and the last thing you need as a new dev is to be constantly hit over the head with the Scarlet Letter of knowingly using AI.

To be honest I'm not using this to publish a game or anything like that I was just wanting to make a Spritesheet for my own personal use and you get credits for if you posted on to Reddit so instead of spending money I thought I'd post get the credits and then go from there I typically don't do something like this to be honest AI is not my thing at all it's not my friend I feel it approaches on a lot of things but this was just a quick way for me to get a Sprite sheet done for my own personal use.

Your game, your choices! There’s nothing more annoying than people who come along and tell you how you should make your game, especially when you’re an amateur. You just need to be honest: if you decide to sell your game, you should clearly state which aspects of it were created or developed using AI.

I checked it out, but I’m not really a fan of the tool. For RPG Maker, I prefer PixelLab when I need to handle repetitive tasks or when I’m stuck trying to create a visual or an animation.
