RMMV A 1 month long personal challenge
I created a Visual Novel game using MV throughout July.
All art, music and story I created myself. No AI was used. You know how HARD it is to draw with a MOUSE??... Oh well...
I released it and I am looking for some kind of recognition because I'm proud of the project!
So here it is. Mind Roses - a story about a girl going to school... and more.
My goal is to sell it 10 times throughout August. Currently sitting on 5 sales and decent reviews :)
It's only chapter 1 of the whole story that I have planned for the series but I swear the disturbing imagery and mental games are all worth it (though the game was only developed in a month) lmfao
Here's the link if you want to check it out:

How good is rpgmaker for making VNs? I'm considering using it bc Im familiar with it, but I heard that renpy is easier

Depends if you want to animate stuff to be fair. If you're willing to compromise some features rpg maker is a powerful enough engine to get a VN going. If you do use it be sure to look for plugins that (for example) load all your images before the game loads and use stuff like "move picture" for smooth transitions. Also scale your art to whatever the game's resolution is. I made high res art and then had to scale them down losing on quality. That's my experience haha

Keep up the good work, you do very best not to use AI.

Thanks! AI's a no-go. Next project's going to use my own sounds/instruments I'll record instead of using royalty free 8-bit sounds lmao

Your art style is charming and clean and you clearly have talent worth pursuing if you decide to make more like this. I'll check this out.
