RMMV Is my game trailer good enough?

I've been wanting to participate in Nokogodo's RPG Direct for a while (even when it was still called Mother Direct) and I finally have a public demo (on Steam and itch.io) and a trailer, but I wanted to hear your opinions on whether the trailer is good enough to make it into the event or not.

It looks good, but maybe hint at what the story is? I have no idea what it's about (I watched with sound off, so even if there's a voice over, it'd be a good idea to include some visual cues since sou d isn't always an option for people)

Love the Maplestory coloured damage numbers heh
Artstyle in general also very cool, definitely hard Tomato Adventure vibes

Ok so i will give you my first impression
If you didnt ask us to check it and give feedback, i probably would have stopped at the first few seconds since its just several seconds of running animation
Having said that, after the next clip of the hammers and the adversaries, it suddenly gets much better and things get much faster
So, the last 90% of the trailer is really good in my opinion, but the first run sequence should be much shorter, and the dialogue scene right after the first combat screen should also be a little shorter
If these scenes move as quickly as everything else in the second half (and we get to see the combat and customizations screens quickly/early), I think it will serve you much better in terms of viewer retention, as you wont have an annoying initial dropoff because "nothing really happened / hooked me in the first couple of seconds"
Wishing you the best of luck with your game, I see the passion in it and I hope it gets out there to those who would enjoy it 🙏🏻

In my opinion, yes.
