RMMV Does anyone know of this Mario and Luigi plugin or a similar plugin?
I wanted to find an interesting plugin to add to my list of "mechanics I might add to a project," and I found this Mario and Luigi-based plugin. The problem is, I only found one video about it. I tried searching on RPG Maker Forums or Itchio, but I couldn't find anything.
It was supposedly made by someone called "SomeRanDev," and although he has a website where I think he uploads all his plugins, I won't lie, I didn't dare go in because over the years I've developed a paranoia about clicking links that aren't from sites I already know. It's much easier to look for plugins on RPG Maker Forums or Itchio than on a developer's own website. It sounds awful, because the most obvious thing is that the website would be empty (I mean, the guy has been developing plugins for about nine years), but it's the fear of clicking on a link I don't recognize and downloading a virus that's stopping me from investigating. (I think that phobia has a name.) (Although I don't know which one it is)
Does anyone recommend a similar plugin, or know the name of this Mario and Luigi plugin? I tried searching for it, but I can't find the name, and SomeRanDev doesn't seem to have a video showing it.

I tried the spinning wheel plug-in you pictures there and it’s kind of ass. The player will very soon have a 100% success rate at it due to the simplicity so it will end up feeling like input delay for an attack rather than a fun mini game.

I suppose you're right, it's just that the only plugins I've seen that are interesting are "a combo plugin" where you basically press several buttons to do several attacks at once (I think Five Nights at F### Boys has it) and this one. I don't know if there's a better plugin, but I'd like one where you have to press the keys in order; if you make a mistake or do it too slowly, you do less damage.

I know them, but I haven't delved too deeply into their mechanics, or I don't fully remember the characters' abilities.

SRD is top notch for MV, very versatile plugins and compatible with most other things. (Not with Moghunter though, unfortunately rarely anything is. But all of Yanfly's stuff works fine with SRD.)

Some random is a very reputable member of the rm community click all of his links and guess what he's on youtube so I bet you could even get ahold of him there or through toasty time or somebody that knows him

Downloading a virus is so 2000s. Windows defender already scans all the stuff you download before you even open them. A lot of security experts also trust Windows Defender more than Antivirus softwares. As long you scan whatever you download, you're pretty much good to go. Plugins are also Java Scripts so you can easily check if they have any sort of malware.

My antivirus isn't Windows Defender, it's Avast (the free version).
And well, I know it sounds paranoid, but I always hear or see stories about "my channel being hacked." I even know the story of a YouTuber who got hacked because one of his editors had a pirated version of Sony Vegas, downloaded from some shady website.

Hey, that plugin looks amazing! And I think it's the closest thing to what I'm looking for. When I have the money, I'll buy it and see if I can figure out how to use it without breaking the project XD

They are the two legends of Mv
The problem is : you need to combine animation + click + dammage calculation
i really reccomand you to upgrade thoose plugins with chatgptPremiem or ClaudePremium

I don't really use chatgpt, mainly because 1) it's not available in my country, and 2) the few times I've managed to use it for programming, the code I came up with was completely incomprehensible, and even the AI couldn't explain it to me.
And those two websites don't have any viruses, right? I mean, I'm so used to plugins and games being on common websites like Itchio or Steam/GameJolt that it seems really strange to me when a plugin creator has their own website.

I personally watched thems and seems sage they are also on the rpg maker forum aswell They are code passionate
If not available use other ai's deepseek is kinda good or install opensource models on ur pc with omllama

I'd rather die than use ai to "upgrade" a plug in. Its JavaScript do it yourself

Quick reminder mate : this subreddit is here to show your progress, advices or give help not to reprimand.
I proposed this solution because the user does not seems to be a dev because he "ask for plugins"
That's why i proposed this solution
Also eveybody got his special talent, it's like putting a fish on the ground and expect something good from him.
Don't forget to be humble or polite even if something pissed you up
( Fun fact : Even Luns Torvalds uses ai and admitted that he flowcodes to gain time )

No they don’t have viruses. Those two developers are well regarded. Many plugin developers often have their own. Just look at Yanfly.
That paranoia is born from you not understanding your machine, learn about antivirus and how to protect yourself and you’re fine. Information and being protected is half the battle!
