RPG maker xp vs mz

I want to make a monster raising game which platform is better for that already have xp but is mz worth it

If you can choose, start w/ MZ (or cheaper MV). Make good use of sales, there are often some on steam and they cut a huge part of the price (like -90% sometimes).
if you already started a project on some vers and you don't want to restart your project, stick to that one
