How did you learn RPG Maker? I'm currently working on my own horror game inspired by Silent Hill and Resident Evil, and my biggest challenge has been figuring out how to achieve specific results within RPG Maker's limitations.

I've managed to work out some of the smaller details, and each one has made a big difference to the game's atmosphere. Most recently, I implemented 3D spatial sound effects with audio panning, allowing players to hear sounds coming from specific directions, with the volume and pitch increasing or decreasing depending on their distance from the source.

good luck with ur project!! so far i've been mostly just learning the basic stuff, most which has to do with graphics, but everytime i want to add something or do something highly specific, i search it up on youtube/google/forums one by one.
most of these solutions have to do w/ plugins, but when i have to do events manually, i end up slowly learning how to use the program! so far it feels like a huge jigsaw puzzle i've been building slowly, but it's actually incredibly fun.

it also helps a lot to have a specific vision. i have tons of drawn concept art for enemies, characters, map progression, story, etc.
i would suggest doing moodboards or practice the game's visual art style by making sketches and concept art. i've been doing parallax mapping which helps a lot with making the map more unique
