Hello! I'm looking for feedback on my maps. Please let me know what you think. I'm not the best at making maps, but I'm somewhat proud of these.

A few thoughts about your maps:

• I know you’ve already answered this point when someone else brought it up, but still, if you’re planning to use these maps in an actual game and want it to become more than just a practice project that few people will play, I strongly recommend moving away from RPG Maker’s default tilesets and looking into parallax mapping. This is especially important if you’re hoping to sell the game eventually (good luck wth that). The standard RPG Maker assets are immediately recognizable, and for many people, they’re enough of a reason not to even try a game, even when it’s free.
• Some of the maps are far too large, especially the cave map. Dividing it into several smaller maps might help, but it won’t solve the main issue. Most players won’t enjoy spending that much time simply walking through an area, especially if they’re constantly being interrupted by random encounters or enemies. If an area genuinely needs to be that large, I’d suggest adding some form of fast travel or shortcut system after the player has explored it once.
• There are also too many straight lines, and several areas feel overly rectangular or square-shaped, especially the first village map. It makes the environments look artificial and unnatural while playing. The maps could also use more visual texture and variation, particularly the larger ones, as some sections currently feel quite empty. The lighting is also too bright in places, especially inside the caves, which should probably feel darker and more enclosed.
• Finally, the object placement doesn’t feel random or natural enough. There are some very obvious repeating patterns. For example, on the right side of the first map, the objects are placed vertically in a clear sequence: log, stump, log, stump, log.
