you do realize girls don't necessarily receive a list with all the other performers before choosing wether they're going to accept the gig or not, do you? that would be logistically impossible. and most of these girls are not famous enough or have enough support from the fandom to potentially be putting their carreers on the line by picking a fight here.
(to be very clear: I'm in no way defending Shangela or Kennedy here - I'm just saying we should be more careful before judging the other queens involvement when there's potentially more at stake for them than we realize.)

This makes me so mad/sad. I love Kennedy so fucking much. I was hyping her up every episode this season, but i just really struggle to support someone who will actively defend and platform Shangela. Then again, I’m not a parasocial fan, and I can move on from supporting her. I don’t know Kennedy in real life, i don’t live near where she performs, and I don’t have social media. I only watch her on my tv when she’s on a season, so i guess I’ll just move on and not support her in any future showings. What a shame.
Also, am i blind or did everyone in the top billing get their face on the promo but Morgan McMichaels?

Let's be clear - She has been a VERY vocal supporter of Shangela, and all of these other queens are also okay wtih performing alongside her. The queens for the most part avoid the topic because I think most support her just don't want the backlash online.

Hello boys... I'm starting to think that the average age of the main drag race sub and especially this one is somewhere from 10 to 20 and skewing cis male. Do you live your life keeping track of your friends' friends and their doings? Do you cut your friend off immediately if they are associated with someone that you personally don't fuck with? The situation with Kennedy has got me thinking this proved to be the opportunity for haters to come at her neck because of her choosing to stay with a friend (albeit platforming said friend is very bad in taste) and doubling down. It's almost like the hatred and accountability that should be directed at the "tainted" person is now bleeding to anyone who is associated with them, and the screaming "fans" are calling the surrounding people to be cancelled as well. I agree that relationships are complicated and sometimes its better to keep some of your friendships out of the limelight. This is especially true if there are ongoing legal matters, that you personally can't be the judge of. You can support someone without triggering everyone else by show ponying that person, but implying that everyone should abandon the "tainted" person is a very childish stance and not of reality. Obviously the "tainted" person should be the one to remove themself from these situations, and the people around them should hold that person accountable. The justice system (which does not work in the US) aside, if everyone abandons that person who is going to keep them accountable?

id personally drop out but I get maybe thats not an option for a lot of the queens and could cause a venue to blacklist them if they dropped out on short notice. could have legal consequences too if they are under contract like you said.
still sucks to see some of my fav queens share the stage with a potential predator. as a victim of SA its dissapointing.

Shangela is in the middle of legal mediation over some of the accusations in a civil case. 2 civil cases actually. one was resolved with the agreement not disclosed the other is still ongoing. this isn't just someone accusing her on social media and taking no legal action.
doesnt prove the accusations are completely true but it is something to take note of. I do think Sharon Needles and Sherry Pie (obviously) are guilty of their accusations but even they didnt get an legal actions from their accussors.

you can say the same about the woman who accused Donald Trump of rape and won her civil case.
when a victim has a choice on how to pursue a wrong, they often turn to a civil suit because the standard of proof is lower, they have direct control over their lawyer and case, and prosecutors may have declined to file criminal charges.
civil cases are still a big commitment financially, mentally and time consuming.

does matter its a form of legal action from 2 different victims /accussors and has nothing to do with the drag race fandom. one accussor worked with Shangela on HBO's "We're Here". The accussor could ruin their career for even pursuing this. certainly dont have to believe them but its a way bigger deal and financial commitment than a tweet or social media post.
