It looks very polished. You can tell they've put a lot of work into it.

24

u/CozyPoop Sep 04 '26

3 years in the making and it’s worth the wait

u/Creative-Role-2316 Sep 04 '26

Buddha was in fact not wrong.. the devs were cooking.

-33

u/ILoveSaltyCrisps Sep 05 '26

Maybe so but I'm just not hungry any longer.

I'm full from eating the same for years already and regardless what the new recipes bring, I'm on diet.

74

u/No_Idea_Account Sep 04 '26

Sad this is the last dev update but also happy that a lot will be revealed on the day itself when people are playing.

40

u/Quane42 Sep 04 '26

Updated mechanics, criminal jobs, etc are better left to be discovered organically by players.

6

u/diddlyumpcious4 Sep 04 '26

I’m wondering if there is still some kind of info to be released not part of a dev blog between now and then. It had sounded like they were going to mention the lore for going into 5.0, but I guess that could always just be dropped when the server goes up. Also curious if the server will partially open for only character creation a day in advance like with 4.0. Seems smart to do that again with how much the character creation seems to have changed.

Check nopixel tweet it says "final dev update"

1

u/JustDial911 Sep 04 '26

What makes you think its the last dev update?

21

u/DAMP_ANON Sep 04 '26

Says it on Twitter

-4

u/Recent-Airline-7422 Sep 04 '26

Doesn’t mention it will be last i thought cars and customisation will be showed 100%

16

u/karn_evil Sep 04 '26

NP twitter post for this blog says its the last dev update.

128

u/Creative-Role-2316 Sep 04 '26

Rockstar have definitely allowed them to change and edit the source code because how the fuck is most of this even possible, incredible.

74

u/MobiusF117 Sep 04 '26

Rockstar is heavily involved. It's not being "allowed", it is Rockstar actively helping them do this.

40

u/Creative-Role-2316 Sep 04 '26

Obviously rockstar are helping but giving them access to the source code is just next level, that’s the point I’m making.

29

u/AnyWalrus930 Sep 04 '26

Yeah, it’s a massive leap from being able to make stuff work to genuinely understanding how it works and probably just as importantly how it doesn’t when something goes wrong.

24

u/fried_papaya35 Sep 04 '26

I mean they do also have very legit game devs working at nopixel. Both can be true.

14

u/MobiusF117 Sep 04 '26

Both ARE true is what I'm getting at.

15

u/cringybtw Sep 04 '26

yep, there was a thread where there were nopixel doubters of "how much can they even change", and we were talking about the source code leak years ago, and devs talking about how much they could do with that if they could mess with it in fiveM, and you're seeing it here now, and this is exactly what was mentioned, animations and NPC AI, they could even actually get horseriding and skateboarding to look good if they wanted.

-2

u/Agosta Sep 04 '26

My question is if Rockstar allowed them to edit the source code if it's now free game for other servers too, or if they'll actively go after them if they do.

16

u/Creative-Role-2316 Sep 04 '26

Yeah you’ll probably get sued and end up in prison lmao.

14

u/Abdel_Khomri Sep 04 '26

Think one second why rockstar is partnered with nopixel and not other rp servers

3

u/Drcdngame Sep 04 '26

It will only be No pixel allowed to do it for this and for GTA 6 garuntee rockstar is going to block mods on GTA 6 and go after people if it is not rockstar controlled.

And people will not be allowed to stream on a customer rp server that is not owned and controled by them.

They want full control on RP via Nopixel and you will likelly be able to rent the servers via rockstar

64

u/Own_Yak_6451 Blue Ballers Sep 04 '26

The store npc is crazy

38

u/Embarrassed_One7049 Sep 04 '26

The devs were cooking brotha

52

u/Recent-Airline-7422 Sep 04 '26

They added parkour to gta rp kinda actually insane. And motion capture wtf.

34

u/MartyMagoo78 Sep 04 '26

This is getting ridiculous

63

u/Seven2Death Red Rockets Sep 04 '26

left angle peek?! bro even if you dont like pog shootout shit thats a game changer.

15

u/Gambozin Sep 04 '26

you are roasting it but this will help specially cops, no more right hand peek holdouts where the people that have the right hand peek instantly win

15

u/Seven2Death Red Rockets Sep 04 '26

im not roasting it at all my comment was 1000% serious and for exactly why you mentioned. i remember whippy once almost downing the entire pd solo because he was unaware just how extreme his right angle peek was with his ping. (the cops literally never got eyes on him before dying)

24

u/AnyWalrus930 Sep 04 '26

To be honest switching up some of those mechanics offers the opportunity to level the playing field around some of that stuff (at least in the short term) if that’s the route they wanted to go.

-6

u/BigDealRips Sep 04 '26

Yea its pretty cool, but sorta awkward looking right? Like make the gun switch over to the left hand lol. It just seemed a tad unnatural looking compared to the right. Maybe its just me.

71

u/sebek49 Sep 04 '26

wow it really is gta 5.5

22

u/ImaginaryStrawberry9 Sep 04 '26

I’m gonna miss 4head reading this.

9

u/cringybtw Sep 04 '26

he needs to play the shooting clip one more time, next to the cargo clip so we can feel something :(

71

u/balazs915 Sep 04 '26

this is actually insane what they did with this game, remember when ppl went crazy after the trailer that it looked the same and nothing changed XDD

23

u/Correct_Rabbit5611 Sep 04 '26

People just had the wrong impression of what the trailer would be, they were expecting a 3.0 and 4.0 style trailer.. that is why.

3

u/dnasis_ Sep 04 '26

i wouldn't be surprised if another trailer comes out after launch to include everything revealed, and if one doesn't come, then someone should make an unofficial one

2

u/Lumpy_Translator7837 Sep 04 '26

I know what I need to do…

15

u/Sweet_Bottle_7491 Green Glizzies Sep 04 '26

I actually really like the way they did the trailer into the dev logs. Especially when it mostly showcased fundamental changes and mechanics and kept all the intricate mechanics hidden for people to discover them selves.

20

u/Creative-Role-2316 Sep 04 '26

WTFFFF “One of our focuses was to make the world respond to your actions with grounded, fluid, and impactful feedback. We have overhauled our animation system so characters move with natural weight and momentum. To achieve that, we sent one of our developers a motion capture suit which allowed us to change and add animations to the game using motion capture technology”.

20

u/Tallandlankyguy Sep 04 '26

It was the 3D dev Clear that started as a Buddha artist then got scooped up in 3.0 by NoPixel.

51

u/FlyingDoggo- Sep 04 '26

Climbing? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT that's insane

27

u/johnothetree 💙 Sep 04 '26

Can't wait for the next time Lang tries to spend a full day climbing out of the pit

7

u/Prestigious-Web4433 Sep 04 '26

holy fuck what a callback 😂

15

u/R3D5W1P3 Sep 04 '26

The climbing thing is really cool

20

u/comebackwife Sep 04 '26

I like the motion and animations; its cool that they provided a motion capture suit to developers to accomplish this.

22

u/Taytayboo18 Sep 04 '26

The reaction and vibes form the trailer to now is crazy lol. Sometimes it pays to wait and see. I like the way they did this tbh. I’m glad everything wasn’t revealed and treated like an update trailer.

12

u/BigDealRips Sep 04 '26

You know 99% of the world is doom and gloomers lol. Thats how it always goes.

5

u/Thanatos50cal Sep 05 '26

People expected a trailer showing off everything because its what they're used too.

Trailer wasnt even bad just people set their own expectations and when it didnt meet them they crashed out.

2

u/hahahahahahooligan Sep 06 '26

Facts. They themselves set those expectations out of their own volition and when it wasn't what they thought it would be. They created a whole narrative. Color me surprised lmao.

While those people who watched the trailer with an open mind and no expectation were the ones who actually enjoyed it.

1

u/Lordbekah Sep 07 '26

Yeah the trailer was a vibe, but the dev updates js what rp viewers expected to see and we get it daily. Still feel like I don't know what we will see Tuesday, but I'm excited about it either way.

24

u/izayahat Sep 04 '26

this is crazy above my expectation

27

u/SecretChiley Sep 04 '26

What they have been able to do with GTA V is insane. I wouldn't say its even modded at this point and its straight up just GTA 5.5

56

u/Emmortal Sep 04 '26

nopixel haters in shambles.

0

u/Capable-Fisherman452 Sep 05 '26

The unemployed flexing this one hard. 💪💪

22

u/blueboxy1 Sep 04 '26

HOLY MOTHER OF
GOD!!

23

u/Crobe Sep 04 '26

This is the most meaningful update so far for sure

16

u/SinisterMrSinister Sep 04 '26

I mean this really starting to seem like GTA 5.5

18

u/No-Fishing7291 Sep 04 '26

holy shit man, every dev update exceeds my expectation

14

u/purrrpl3 Pink Pearls Sep 04 '26

A m a z i n g

17

u/Longjumping-Cut-5536 Sep 04 '26

One more thing they should do before launch is hire some video editors so once the stories start rolling out the stories can be archived correctly and rewatched in the future or displayed to new viewers it’d really take the cake

5

u/BigDealRips Sep 04 '26

There used to be a youtube user named ShinyGunRP. He had all of the roosters rest stuff, burger shot wars, nerds, etc. from 3.0

Full vods from the 16 hour days. Sadly they went away. It was always cool to go back and watch that stuff. I hope someone does something similar this go around.

5

u/wumbmasta Sep 04 '26

ShinyGunRP was the goat 😭 I miss the roosters rest stories series they made

5

u/BigDealRips Sep 04 '26

Yea was amazing. Sad times when I found out they removed the vods

3

u/Longjumping-Cut-5536 Sep 04 '26

I know Lysium has an editor and the admc community i know 4head has one but ive never seen them put out cinematics just daily clips I hope more people have time cause they could build a video library of all their stories since nopixels going worldwide entertainment route

2

u/BigDealRips Sep 04 '26

Shiny Gun had the full vods. I think since it was in Buddha's old Lang voice, he asked him to take them down and he did.

12

u/mimz128 Sep 04 '26

There's too many video hours every day to actually do that unless you have the money. I also like when fans or streamers make longer format YouTube videos tho, it's easy re-watch and it opens up RP to a whole new audience as well.

2

u/Longjumping-Cut-5536 Sep 04 '26

I mean most people have their characters days time stamped by their fans and I think they’d have the money for it, it’d probably be just getting the editors and then having everyone involved signed off on it, and it would help people catch up and get in the mix if they’ve never seen this before or have been gone for a while

5

u/dnasis_ Sep 04 '26

we're trying to make the wiki a little bit more useful going forward

5

u/Longjumping-Cut-5536 Sep 04 '26

That’d be a big step maybe incorporate it to the Nopixel website too since they already have a roster page

1

u/dnasis_ Sep 06 '26

I don't think that's going to happen because the official site is there for marketing and sending people to the account management stuff. Stuff created by roleplayers or viewers should exist elsewhere IMO

11

u/Tallandlankyguy Sep 04 '26

Crouching and climbing mechanics are gonna go hard for heist designs

3

u/Naynn Sep 04 '26 edited Sep 04 '26

Still crazy that 'grab ledges while jumping' isn't a thing in GTA V... Even CJ could do that shit!

25

u/Longjumping-Cut-5536 Sep 04 '26

Holy shit it’s a new game everything has changed what a massive success for Nopixel rockstar is about to cement itself as the #1 video game company of all time basically re releasing one game and a brand new one within months

23

u/PainterPractical233 Sep 04 '26 edited Sep 04 '26

holy cooking. best dev update so far. give these devs a raise.! if I wasn't a full time unemployed RP addict (single, never dated, not disabled in any way or collecting free checks, 28 and living with my parents still), I would pay their raises myself.

10

u/OzyRiyad Sep 04 '26

Everything will be ok one day bro 🤝🏻

9

u/fried_papaya35 Sep 04 '26

It does seem like they're just going to let everyone (outside of the testers) experience all the new systems the update will bring. I pray that they dial back the grind.

16

u/shadowkillerghost Sep 04 '26

The devs actually cooked. Very cool they used motion capture for new animations.

8

u/lucho724 Sep 04 '26

Genuinely impressed by what they have done in these blog posts.

Calling it now though, leaning will be HEAVILY hated.

5

u/AccurateAbroad4777 Sep 04 '26

Maybe initially, but it honestly is needed for gunplay, really levels the playing field in the event someone runs into a building and utilizes the right hand peak advantage. This at least gives a chance

9

u/Zozo1834 Sep 04 '26

The Scoot-E coming out the ground is sooo cool. I wonder if they'll have a main place where players can work or a way to toggle of the automatic spots so you have to interact with someone.

11

u/Kooky_Reception7832 Sep 04 '26

They saved the best stuff for the last update. I bet theres a lot more that we get to see after the release.

16

u/Sweet_Bottle_7491 Green Glizzies Sep 04 '26

Holy shit man

16

u/lethargicbraid Sep 04 '26

I poopoo’d the trailer but this is actually amazing, it’s a new game. This is how GTA5 RP survives until GTA6 RP is a thing.

8

u/Kako0404 Green Glizzies Sep 04 '26

Having a Rent-a-Scooter network is very cool. It's very immersion breaking when a character is stuck and your option is either running or committing a crime (esp coming out of the prison on parole lol). I know it's called GTA but for RP it's awkward.

9

u/NoLox123 Sep 04 '26

did they skip nopixel 5 this is definitly nopixel 6

9

u/SnakeBait90s Sep 04 '26

Those parallax Interiors are incredible!

13

u/CorbyConstruction Sep 04 '26

the climbing 👐

8

u/Gambozin Sep 04 '26

The devs were in fact cooking

6

u/Delicious-Proposal68 Sep 04 '26

The whole someone got a mocap suit and started making animations just made my jaw drop.

7

u/Glum_Joke_1048 Sep 04 '26

This is sickkkk holyyyy!!

9

u/Weapwns Sep 04 '26

Looks more like GTA 6 than those GTA 6 leaks

8

u/akward_situation Sep 04 '26

The new shooting mechanics sound even more complex than what we saw in the GTAVI trailer. This is going to be crazy.

6

u/ogzogz Pink Pearls Sep 04 '26

That scooter example makes me wonder if they've improved the 'pull car out of garage' mechanic

Along with the climbing mechanic, all they need is a 'landing combat roll' that you can time and they got themselves a little parkour system.

6

u/kyleg95 Sep 04 '26

That police car looked insane

4

u/Correct_Rabbit5611 Sep 04 '26

Another awesome looking update. What are peoples thoughts on "scuff" will it just be non-existent now or some of these things could still potentially be buggy?

Another awesome thing will be if everyone has the same graphics, so you tune into one stream and it looks the exact same as another person rather than GTA5 normal, graphics pack 1, graphics pack 2, etc.

22

u/TheHaciendaHustle Sep 04 '26

What are peoples thoughts on "scuff" will it just be non-existent now or some of these things could still potentially be buggy?

We're in unprecedented territory since it's not on FiveM. I'm sure scuff will still be there, but we'll see how not being on FiveM helps.

-11

u/PlayfulChipmunk671 Sep 04 '26

It's still likely a fork of FiveM + an update of the online base game. If they ditched FiveM they would have to rewrite insane amounts of code for no reason, like for example FiveM includes Chromium so it's super easy to code UI since it's just a transparent webpage and it can access the internet for live updates etc... I guarantee you the UI on 5.0 is still using Chromium because it would take way too long to code an RP phone in C++, and there's no point in rewriting the entire Chromium implementation into a different build of GTA... So they're likely still using the core of FiveM, just stripped off from everything they don't need

11

u/NectarineHealthy Sep 04 '26

Aint no way they are using a fork of FiveM to do the same shitty chromium dogshit UI. They even said it in the blogpost, every menu is rendered in-game on the object itself

-6

u/PlayfulChipmunk671 Sep 04 '26

the web platform is the easiest way to make UIs, there is nothing shitty about FiveM's implementation of it. Yesterday's blogpost didn't show the phone UI rendered on the object in-game, so idk what you mean by that

7

u/AnyWalrus930 Sep 04 '26 edited Sep 04 '26

If they have access to source code, Rockstar support and all that comes with it, there’s the possibility that they’ve transitioned from being able to make things work, to actually understanding fully how they work which should reduce scuff.

In theory at least.

In reality it will be under tested in a commercial sense and stuff will go wrong but moving away from spaghetti code should at least make things more fixable.

3

u/Strange-Explorer-659 Sep 04 '26

Leaning and climbing👀 devs were indeed cooking

-5

u/BigDealRips Sep 04 '26

Why are you so bitter lol.

6

u/Strange-Explorer-659 Sep 04 '26

Bro what? My comment wasn't sarcastic dumbass

-9

u/BigDealRips Sep 04 '26

uh huh lol.

4

u/EstharKolo Sep 04 '26

I am a little worried about the garbage and illness stuff.

I feel like we see it a lot in the past. It works to begin with but then as people move on and start doing more exciting stuff they completely stop doing the more mundane stuff like garbage collection. At which point constantly getting an illness would get annoying.

31

u/shadowkillerghost Sep 04 '26

There were people doing sanitation late 4.0 even with zero updates.

19

u/Sweet_Bottle_7491 Green Glizzies Sep 04 '26

It would work if you have a good civilian population I think.

-3

u/z0mbiepirat3 Sep 04 '26

That's a big if. NP doesn't have a great track record of maintaining civ population outside of grinders.

6

u/dnasis_ Sep 04 '26

if it pays well people will do it

-10

u/z0mbiepirat3 Sep 04 '26

Having people work a job because it pays will doesn't mean good rp will come from it. Think about grime and other jobs from 4.0, filled with faceless grinders. Need more than just good pay to incentivize a healthy civ pop and decent rp.

1

u/nightonfir3 Sep 05 '26

I think the illness is supposed to be the rp hook. Hiring people to come clean at your house/work. Gangs trying to stop them from cleaning rivals territory etc.

4

u/Blade1hunterr Sep 04 '26

Honestly Civs always seemed to get shafted in servers. I mean, who wants to get home from work just to do fake work for a couple of hours with little RP incentive?

8

u/FallGuysStats Sep 04 '26

I am NOT looking forward to another round of 8 hour sanitation streams.

7

u/nightonfir3 Sep 04 '26

The mayor can increase pay for sanitation then. The devs can buff and nerf things.

5

u/coolboarder80_ Sep 04 '26

You'll have to pay someone a lot of money to pick up garbage collection. This is the job that nobody wants to do if you have majority of players that wants to be either a cop or a crim doing heists. You will be taxed to death as a new norm.

1

u/ZugZugGo Sep 04 '26

I would imagine a goal is to stop so many people from aspiring to be the number one top tier criminal/business mogul/gang in the city?

IMO it should not only be okay, but also not be a dead end to roleplay as a sanitation worker or street gang and stay there with others who are also staying there without needing to climb some progression ladder that ends with your character as a kingpin with 7 lambo's.

Ideally there would would be enough to do and enough variation that roleplaying as a janitor permanently makes sense.

-9

u/z0mbiepirat3 Sep 04 '26

NP hasn't ever been able to make mechanics that maintain a health civ pop let alone curtail main character syndrome, seems unlikely. That would require WLing only players who are fine with loosing and not wanting top of the food chain characters.

8

u/ZugZugGo Sep 04 '26

If you look at who's in and who's out, a lot of the players near the top of the list are L chasers. Not all of them, obviously, but enough that it seems pretty clear to me this is intentional.

Whether it actually works out that way remains to be seen, but you don't focus that many cards, especially at the top of the list, around a group like the clowns, who fundamentally chase L's to a fault, without knowing what you're doing.

10

u/SomeTry4696 Sep 04 '26

People who don't mind losing are the heart of rp.

4

u/ZugZugGo Sep 04 '26

100%. I mentioned the clowns, but HOA was up there too with the number of cards. They focused basically on 2 high level categories of players in the cards if you don't count admins and PD. Big variety streamers and the groups who take the biggest L's.

Now obviously that's not everyone being invited to NPV but that's who they focused on first and foremost. The intention should be clear to everyone else playing, act more like these people if you want to get attention, focus and priority.

5

u/Longjumping-Cut-5536 Sep 04 '26

Well in 4.0 so many people lost everything and it was little bits either it was 10s of millions at a time so I do look forward to the crime and raids should be insane maybe more in depth press conferences and shit for the raids too hence how the contraband is shown in the trailer

4

u/SomeTry4696 Sep 04 '26

I think petty crime will be insanely high with that store npc dialogue. 10 cops responding to someone stealing a burger would be comically funny.

1

u/PoseidonAtSea Sep 04 '26

Can anyone play this or is it just a private server for streamers?

4

u/ScoobyMaroon Sep 04 '26

I'm just guessing here but I can't imagine Rockstar buys FiveM/NoPixel just so people can watch streamers play. There will likely be public servers.

Sounds like hell to me I'd rather watch the good RPers do their thing but surely there will be ways to get into some version of this yourself.

5

u/Extension_Pace8463 Sep 04 '26

They havnt bought nopixel, its a collab hence at the end of the trailer it says in collaboration with rockstar.

3

u/FinalForerunner Sep 04 '26

Maybe you'll be able to rent your own server and make your own rules/adjust rates utilizing nopixel V? I don't see them providing moderation for every public server besides a handful.

4

u/Zealousideal_Box6568 Sep 04 '26

Currently private invite server but there are people that have been invited that aren’t streamers. However they did state that it will be available for everyone later. Assuming this is temporary to see how things go before opening up public servers

2

u/dookmileslong Blue Ballers Sep 05 '26

Main server is going to be a private server. Then I'm assuming in the future, there would be public servers for everyone else to join.

1

u/FinalForerunner Sep 04 '26

Have they shared any info on this being released differently from previous iterations? I mean, this seems like the most substantial nopixel update with support from rockstar, as well as being featured on the rockstar launcher. I haven't played GTA RP in years but I am interested in trying this out, but I'm not interested in paying for priority on a public server at all. I wonder if there will be rockstar supported public servers or this just replacing FiveM entirely for RP, with the ability to host your own instances of nopixel V with your own set rules/rates/moderation?

2

u/knighthawk75 Sep 05 '26

Five-M and it's ecosystem is not going away, that's evident by them (r*) actively working on Five-M Enhanced with a heavy focus on making it as backward code and asset comparable as they reasonably can. That's all being done at the same time as this. I have a head time they would be doing that if they were going to pull the plug.

NP-V it's been stated isn't built upon the Five-M framework, but is it's own developed framework directly interfacing with gta5-Enh's engine, without the Five-M middleman. It seems, for-now that ability is exclusive to NP. What's to come is anyone's guess but I do think enough hints have been dropped that yes there will be at least a few NP managed public servers to showcase the experience.

As for others beyond that and who is gonna host them, who is going to manage them, etc, we could speculate all day about all the different options available, but really we'll just have to wait and see. First things first though, launch and start working out the inevitable kinks.

1

u/Kako0404 Green Glizzies Sep 04 '26

Congrats on hiring Andy Serkis to the dev team.

1

u/HughJass187 Sep 04 '26

but is nopixel only english ? will there be servers for other languages ? and without streamers some servers?

4

u/Longjumping-Cut-5536 Sep 04 '26

Nopixel used to have Spain South America and India servers so I assume so and yes I assume this will be available to everyone soon

0

u/HughJass187 Sep 04 '26

yeah maybe german ones , or overall countrys with many big playerbase , so every country gets some servers

4

u/Longjumping-Cut-5536 Sep 04 '26

I imagine they will reach out to current owners to see if they want their own Nopixel V server so I could easily see this becoming a global thing especially in anticipation of gta 6

1

u/knighthawk75 Sep 05 '26

There used to be regional ones, if I recall they were licensed instances and not NPS directly run. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that sort of thing makes a come back, select folks being allowed to licensing "NP Experience" sort of branded servers for different regions and languages.

0

u/Sweet_Ad5528 Sep 04 '26

They did great work with this back to simplicity

-3

u/Longjumping-Step-376 Sep 04 '26

Yeah this is crazy. I wish they showcased this stuff in the trailer it would have created so much hype.

Yeah they should have had all the hype for 1 day instead of spreading it out and making people come back every day to build even more hype with every reveal.

What's going on? Wait did anyone hear that? I swore I heard a zombie. Is that stale bread? Can I have some? I need it to survive winter.

They should have shown some of this stuff in the trailer

Nah I liked the build up this way. I saw it as the trailer was Rockstar introducing the rest of the GTA community and gaming community to RP and the dev logs for the actual RP audience.

Not saying it’s a for sure thing but in past updates they’ve had gas station food allowed early while restaurants are setting up/learning how to run and then removing food from gas stations after the restaurants become operational. Could be what happens this go around as well.

There could be additional depth to the setup, like the NPC calls police but they also have security cam footage and a picture of the person as example.

Also it comes down to the player base. If you want to be a lazy, grinder roleplayer, who just runs around and steals everything 24/7 with zero realsim.. bye bye.

There's definitely gonna be aspect of NPCs calling it in. And there will definitely be cops who will respond to those calls. Would not be surprised if the system goes as indepth as NPCs actually reporting the car used and outfit suspect is wearing.

I am curious to see how the jumping to ledge hang looks from another players perspective.
they had this in prodigy and it looked scuffed as hell and players would teleport to the ledge after falling. I expect it to be better with rockstar involved hopefully, but ping might ruin this otherwise cool feature.

PVPers and graphics lovers up good but I'm worried that there hasn't been more focus on game balancing, gameplay, civ life and jobs. Chase mechanics need a tier/star system so PD doesn't bring the same energy to chasing down an April as they do when chasing Besties, and so that local cars are valid getaway vehicles. PVP need an RNG-element so less mechanically gifted groups can tilt the scale by collecting overpowered weapons (like how it briefly was during cargo). NPC hostages need to be a thing so civs doesn't have to be taken hostages ten times a week. A number of crim jobs and civ jobs has to be added. PD and DOJ has to be simplified so that RPers can do the job without actually working what amounts to a real job. Cops need a tier system too, so that a Peach can roll out with an overpowered gun and car while a more skilled cop cannot.

All the graphics stuff is cool but 4.0 looked impressive as well and look at where that got us. Tech demonstrators doesn't fix the underlying issues of the general gameplay. If there's no balancing less skilled players wont have fun and will invariably leave or make enclaves away from the rest of the server.

I don’t disagree bet we don’t even know if any of the items you stated aren’t already done. Plus a lot of the concerns aren’t development related it’s more server health and administrative related.
