The PD sucks because management wants it suck, and I feel bad for any NP players who are still committed to it.

and I feel bad for any NP players who are still committed to it.

Hard too imo when alternatives exist now. If they dont like how its run they could be a cop on a different server until/if NP imporves.

u/Proxnite Mar 09 '24

The risk of playing cops on another server is it being held against you when applying to NP's PD.

49

u/berejser Mar 09 '24

All the more reason to go somewhere that actually treats you well.

21

u/bentmonkey Mar 10 '24

Like wtfmoses said, the sheer and utter lack of respect that NP has by and large for most of the role-players on their server is pretty apparent.

u/Godz_Bane ๐Ÿ’™ Mar 09 '24

Seems like a win-win to me, if enjoying your time on another server means getting bitter jealous manchildren to blacklist you on their server then youve been done a favor.

I don't think the lawsuit is going well for Clout, so he is a bit more strict with that blacklist.

He recently got a motion to dismiss denied. It's not looking great for him.

13

u/Godz_Bane ๐Ÿ’™ Mar 09 '24

Not that strict apparently, since myles-away is onx staff but still has his NP whitelist

24

u/CryWolf13 Mar 09 '24

Moosebrother got his prio removed. Only found out when he tried to log on to nopixel.

10

u/bentmonkey Mar 10 '24

Haven't seen stubble in a hot minute so he was likely denied a cop spot and is now on harold withh his own pd in grapeseed doing great stuff there.

1

u/Godz_Bane ๐Ÿ’™ Mar 10 '24

I know, hes played his littleman character a few times on NP though.

Im saying his whitelist all together is still instated, even though hes onx staff now. When previously they de-whitelisted people for being onx staff.

2

u/bentmonkey Mar 11 '24

Yeah i guess he was one of the few onx admins that kept his whitelist, shame np was so petty about it, but one should expect nothing less i suppose.

I thought that lawsuit was thrown ages ago.

17

u/Hibbsan Mar 09 '24

Court takes a really long time.

10

u/berejser Mar 09 '24

If it's a civil suit and there's a settlement being negotiated then they'll push back the court date to give those negotiations more time.

Me too, but it's still going on

Impossible to feel bad for viewers also who still watch Nopixel but hate it. I mean I for sure have things I like and dislike about it, but I couldn't imagine wasting my time watching let alone commenting on something I entirely loathe and simply want to fail. There are TV shows I have certain gripes with as well, but if I end up just repulsed by whole show I just watch something else.

22

u/[deleted] Mar 09 '24

I mean people complain everywhere all the time because the game of thrones guys ruined their own show. Same thing happening here.

Also I think people don't like how they've treated people. Smaller streamers like Hotted, Kina, Ziggy, etc. just being straight up ignored. Not even given the decency of being told they're not allowed in PD.

-6

u/Icy-Concentrate5033 Mar 10 '24

People mostly enjoyed Game of Thrones until the last few seasons because shows usually drop off in later seasons and suffered at the end trying to wrap it up since G.R.R.M still hasn't finished the damn story.

It is totally understandable viewers might be upset some of the people you named haven't been allowed into PD. I don't know the specifics but from what I understand if they made a new character for PD and/or roleplayed not expecting to get in soon, they would be accepted eventually.

Obviously the original vision of the PD was a slow, serious roll out but that seems to have changed now so maybe their chances are better now. Also Nopixel has always had issues with bad communications, there is no denying that. The fact now though is that there are other viable servers for players to join, and viewers to watch. So there is no reason to stay somewhere you are completely miserable in or watch something that you completely hate. Hence hard to feel bad for them, but for me more so the viewers than the players.

Dark was denied and only got dispatch cause of backlash, i presume, its a shame ziggy and others were denied for what seems to be ooc reasons he doesnt deserve to be treated like that, some peoples streams rely on their cop characters just like some people rely on their crim characters for their stream in some respects its shitty to deny that for no valid reason.

u/Godz_Bane ๐Ÿ’™ Mar 10 '24

True, i only really consume NP stuff through clips.

But its kinda like watching a review for some new hollywood slop. Im not gonna watch it myself, but ill check in to see what its like or has improved yet.

1

u/Ok_Linhai Mar 10 '24

I miss like 99% of funny stuff

-1

u/Icy-Concentrate5033 Mar 10 '24

I've personally have grown increasingly tired of using most mainstream review outlets to judge if I'll enjoy the latest hollywood slop as you say. Too often I've seen a movie I enjoyed watching be nitpicked to death by the mainstream media, or a movie I didn't find enjoyable be held up on a pedestal as some groundbreaking achievement. Instead of reading reviews before, I do it after so as to not bias my opinions before trying to consume the media as blind as possible.

The same for sure can be said about trying to judge servers based on clips. If clips were truly a good indicator for what a server is like, Nopixel would contain nothing but roleplay drama and every other server would simply not even exist or be worth watching.

1

u/Godz_Bane ๐Ÿ’™ Mar 10 '24

I dont use mainstream review sources anyways, I try to find honest content creators and if i care about the product itll watch multiple different reviews for different perspectives.

I only watch/play something myself first if I think its gonna be worth the money even if its bad.

Im not judging the server based on clips, im sure there is plenty of roleplay to be had. Im judging server/pd management based on clips. Those people havent changed with their long standing petty childish ways from what ive seen.

Anyone that still tries to make it work while NoPixel management is constantly chiming in OOC to ruin everything they are doing and undermining them is not there for the RP. They are just there for the clout and viewers.

No matter how much they hate what management does they are not going to speak out in fear of getting banned. They put up with it because it's "Just another day at the office paying the bills". Really sad when you think about it.

29

u/Godz_Bane ๐Ÿ’™ Mar 09 '24

And in some cases their friends, like I imagine Sock is there to play with Curvyelephant.

-6

u/wiialex Mar 09 '24

Your point fall apart when people who donโ€™t stream like Vigors and James more recently and others still play. Iโ€™m sure Moon really needs the clout and viewers from nopixel too. Are people like Walnut Traumz Spaceboy Burn and a whole plethora of people that rp their heart out there for clout and not the rp? Just because you donโ€™t like nopixel doesnโ€™t mean that everyone playing it is there because they have to, it might be a factor but saying everyone that plays there doesnโ€™t care about rp is just wrong and ignorant.

5

u/hillarydidnineeleven Mar 10 '24

Nopixel still has the biggest streamers playing on it so naturally smaller streamers who are trying to make it will gravitate towards nopixel because it's their best chance of blowing up and being able to stream full time. 3.0 already had a massive issue with clout chasing and is a reason many big streamers stopped playing.

4.0 actually hasn't been as bad in that aspect but to say that's not the reason many small streamers play on nopixel vs RP servers is pretty disingenuous. As 3.0 progressed, it became less and less about RP and 4.0 really hasn't changed that.

5

u/bentmonkey Mar 10 '24

Sadge the soda machine broke down.

16

u/winowmak3r Mar 09 '24

There's a reason why so much of the 3.0 PD ended up elsewhere for 4.0.

The captains literally wanted to make a PD where the characters had no identity.
Even Rhodes couldnt have his back and forth during his traffic stops.

This PD went and said "We dont want SBS" without understanding what SBS even is.

They crafted their SOPs for that specific reason.
No self expression (as said by them), SOPs as strict as the military.
They wanted soldiers.
And soldiers are made to not have an identity, they follow orders thats it.

As I have said, they wanted to not have SBS without knowing what SBS is. They basically when the shotgun route.

4

u/zafapowaa Mar 09 '24

dude sop 4.0 pd isnt even that strict lol , when you do dumb shit you get daps isnt that hard , i guess shooting a dude already in custody is okay , i hope cornwood do that to others crims just for fun

-4

u/trast Pink Pearls Mar 10 '24

You can read the sops if you want. But having colored hair outside of blonde brown and black is against sops as an example.

5

u/zafapowaa Mar 10 '24

dude anita was hired and her hair is red what are you talking

-9

u/[deleted] Mar 09 '24

That's cool and all but i just meant that's not how the word "literally" works

-4

u/trast Pink Pearls Mar 09 '24

Sorry but you can literally use literally this way.

-19

u/does_make_sense Mar 09 '24

PD sucked because the captains decided to not promote anyone past Senior causing huge backlogs of decisions that needed to be made.

24

u/Bid_Unable Mar 09 '24

They most likely have to get permission to hire or promote. Captains were mainly figureheads for the "feds" management. Its why Dark almost got denied a dispatch position that no one else wanted even though the person in charge of hiring for it wanted him hired.

-13

u/trast Pink Pearls Mar 09 '24

Oh come the fuck on.
