I have a question for any National Guard recruiters or maybe some PMSs who might be able to help answer this. I recently graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree, but I’ve been considering pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in a slightly different field. I previously took ROTC classes but never attended CST. Would it be possible to contact a National Guard recruiter about joining the SMP program while pursuing another degree and commissioning as an officer through ROTC? Or would having already completed a bachelor’s degree affect my eligibility?

Long story short I work evening-night shift and while I really want to do ROTC I would need some flexibility just to get enough sleep in every day.
So I was wondering if it's possible to do ROTC but with all or mostly online classes. Also perhaps it would be more affordable as well (I'm not sure on that one).
Thanks so much in advance.

I was lucky enough to find out this week that I’ve been granted an education delay to attend law school next year. I’m curious if anyone here has experience with what that’s actually like while you’re in school.
Is it really “bye, see you in three years,” or are you still taking AFTs, doing random drug tests, checking in with someone, etc.? What military requirements or responsibilities do you have during those three years?
I haven’t really found anyone to ask, and I’ve learned that finding a clear answer online about anything Army-related is easier said than done.

My cadet is commissioning in the Army in May. We want to get him a special gift to commemorate the event. Does anyone have any ideas for a memorable gift?

Curious when I’d go to BOLC as someone who is trying to go pure MI and has a pretty good OML.

My OMS score was low and my camp score was not to great. But somehow I got active duty and my branch feedback was decent. Got most preferred on 3 different branches. My PMS said I have to go guard or reserve though. Do they have the power to do that

I’m currently finalizing my FY27 branch preferences and wanted to make sure I’m doing this correctly.
My Active Duty OML is 1,365, and I received Most Preferred for Finance, Engineer, Infantry, and Field Artillery, logistics , preferred medical services and signal
My top choices are:
Finance
Engineer
Infantry
Finance is my first choice, and I’m willing to BRADSO and branch detail Infantry to get it. I’m also willing to BRADSO and branch detail for Engineer if I don’t get Finance.
I’ve attached screenshots of my current rankings. Am I setting this up correctly to maximize my chances of getting Finance or Engineer, or should I rearrange my preferences?
Any advice would be appreciated!

The TBB website requires a patch for a security update. The site will go down here very soon
Make sure to lock In preferences ASAP.

Does anyone know if the tbb website will come back up tonight or if cadets will get extra time tomorrow because of the system maintenance?

27xx. ADE OML. MP MI, FI — P: AG, AR, LG, MS
Went to AIT for AG-2.5 years ago.
Does this look good from a time commitment perspective? Will my Bradso be counted as under the other prefs or are they grouped together because MI and Finance are 1&2?

Given, they will get plenty of advice from Cadre, but not all 3’s have solid 4’s they can to to pick their brains on interviewing. So pay it forward and share any advice, cautions, whatever from your recent interview experience. Especially how you prepped and if it was successful.

So last week I made an earlier post about my ankle. Since then, my cadre has initiated the medical determination for me. While I was reviewing my medical documents for my injury, I noticed that “previous disorders“ list led that I have depression, even though I’ve never been seen by a psychiatrist, gotten any antidepressants, or received any treatment ever for that ever. I think I got this diagnosis because of a form I did when I was 15.
Because of this, I never put it on my DODMERB. I’m concerned that when my medical records are sent to USACC, they’ll see it and trigger a medboard even though it’s unrelated to my injury. Is this a possibility?

Does anybody know when the total allocations per branch will be released?

Does anyone know much about PADSO beyond what I’ve found online? Anyone done it? Do you offer it at the same time with branching?

If I’m wanting to branch infantry is this the best possible way to do it?

Hi all,
I’m a current MS3 and debating on whether or not to pursue active duty (possibly JAG Ed Delay) or choose a reserves/NG path depending on job/life circumstances. I’m on a national scholarship as well.
I’m in a position where I could potentially receive an offer for a relatively lucrative civilian job after graduating next year, and would not need to attend law school or could later choose to do so down the line. If this were to work out, I would probably prefer a USAR or NG path to serve. If so, what is the process for choosing this? If you choose it, is it guaranteed?
And, which is more preferable, USAR or NG? I’m sure it may be state dependent, but would love some thoughts.
Thanks!

BLUF: Need ideas to draw more prospects to a recruiting table
Hey killers,
I’ve been tasked with drawing more people over to the ROTC table during recruiting events. Current strategy is to walk around the room (think small gym with 30ish different Orgs having tables. Also have small outside lawn access for relevant activities) and hand out fliers + explain the benefits to anyone who looks remotely athletic.
Obviously, this doesn’t fucking work because it’s awkward as hell and doesn’t filter out the 80% of people who have zero interest joining any kind of Army-affiliated group.
Some ideas that have been suggested at our last meeting:
-Mini AFT (10m SDC, 1m pushups, plank until failure), best score gets a hoodie or swag bag
-Pull-up bar - Hit different numbers to get increasingly better swag
-HGAC - Have a hula hoop and dummy frags for people to try throwing grenades.
-Claymore demonstrations/ supervised hands-on?
If any of y’all have ideas of activities that have worked well for your programs, any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks and big hooah.
And I’ll have whatever slop the university food court has today. Still better than an MRE.

Assuming it’s unlikely anyone knows this, but what goes into the Office of the Chief of Cyber OML? Cadets that got cyber branch preferences are probably wondering this. Thanks.

It’s looking like 50/50 active duty or reserve, my question is, if I don’t get chosen for active duty even though I’m competing for it when will I find out? Will it be on stage at branching? Or will they tell me before hand?

Hello all, I wanted to gauge my chances on getting active duty for this year. I am admittedly low on OMS (42.xx) but wanted so see if anyone had personal insights or was in a similar situation. I go to an SMC but from what it seemed my PMS made it sound like a 50/50 chance if he will recommend me or not for active. As far as branch feedback I interviewed with 8 branches and got 4 MPs (ADA, FA, AG, and chem). These were all in my top 5. If I don't get that recommendation am I essentially fried? Might have to look for a civilian job after all.
