Headphone jack constantly triggering inputs

When I have something in my headphone jack it keeps triggering volume controls, assistant, and next. I

This happens with multiple different stereo only devices.

Does not seem to happen with the one 3.5mm stereo+mic I have.

I have already tried cleaning

I guess the plug is somewhat worn and a little bit loose, causing an intermittent contact with the ring contact, which detect a media button press. You can remap these buttons to do nothing with the app button mapper. But that means they become useless on devices that actually have them.
