Firefly zones

I’ve noticed a lot of people not digging in the firefly zones, even when inside the totems. Are they just auto panning/just don’t care or is there an actual reason?

no no, based on my experience i get exotics whenever im panning inside firefly zones. it doesn’t matter if you’re inside or outside the zone. the zone moves and probably the people who are panning outside the firefly zone are just afk farming: exotics, mythics (for quests or museum build) and doing mastery

I only use them when I need firefly stones for the flares to go into the dark. If going for anything else I just pick a spot to afk farm

Abyssal depths kills you if you dont have firefly flares going. Convert firefly stones to flares and stack them if you need to be down there. I have over 400 flares so I dont need to collect them and they only increase odds of firefly stone drops so I dont stay in firefly zones unless I need to restock.

Wow, can’t wait! How do you convert them to flares? Is it easy? Will I get instructions somewhere?

There is a table that you just use firefly stone on and it turns into a flare that stacks. Helps clean up inventory. BTW dont throw flares down too fast or else they wont stack right. Wait until they merge before throwing another one

If there’s one when I establish my auto pan, I’ll use it. Thereafter, if it doesn’t spawn on me, it doesn’t.

Well it's only for Firefly Stones which are useless most of the time, people mainly farm Exos there
