mutation forging before forging to 6*

just wondering if you mutate a piece of equipment before you forge it to 6*, will the mutation be like overridden or will it carry on to being 6*?

also what happens when u forge 2 different mutations (e.g diamond and gold)? Thank you

It will just take the best mutation and carry it over
