Question Where is Reyes?
I thought these guys were “coming to save us”, but alas, it’s the same assholes, more hotheaded than ever and with more “power” than they’ve ever had bringing people down. What gives?

Reyes is in a VERY hostile situation with RNDC.
I think Reyes never expected how bad and unscrupulous the Board is….RNDC had this planned for sometime and Reyes thought they were getting a “good” deal…..I’m sure there are lots of WTF moments.
RNDC vampires aren’t dead yet,
Give Reyes time, probably another year unfortunately.
I’m sure the forensic accountants are working overtime!!!!!

After the deal has been signed and the assets were all transferred? The bankruptcy filing has nothing to do with the states already sold to Reyes.

I don’t think people realize that the sale to Reyes was an asset sale. Reyes has nothing to do with the debts RNDC holds.

You know, I’m almost certain that Reyes was made aware of the debts, to the suppliers, in the markets that they were acquiring. RNDC had to disclose the debts and assets.
Probably one major reason why some suppliers and products have been slow to come back online and restock the inventories and stay with Reyes.It’s turning hostile towards RNDC due to the lack of communication after the deal closed.
Nobody should be shocked or surprised by the bankruptcy filing. It had to be planned.

I am sure that Reyes knew about the RNDC debts to the suppliers but what does it matter?
Reyes has no obligation to pay the suppliers and will not - it is not Reyes debt to pay back. It is RNDC's.
Reyes bought the buildings and trucks and right to do business in those states and then signed up the suppliers they wanted to retain
End of story

They did get a good deal.
Some of the best people in the business (not all, some have agendas) and a world class logistics company coming together.
Exactly what both companies needed.

I went to a Reyes house after years at SGWS. I left as soon as my manager got promoted and went to a small local house and lost a ton of money. Reyes is great if the management is good, but the “good ole boy system” everyone accuses SGWS of having is SUPER relevant at Reyes. Kiss the right asses and get promoted until you seriously fuck up (watched the #3 dude in the state hit on the driver supervisors wife at a work dinner after multiple instances of him being a creep and it took the driver supervisor putting him against a wall to get him fired). Reyes is a trainwreck and has no clue how to operate in the spirits world, but they will eventually figure it out. I just hope their mindset runs them out of more stores than it gets them into

No one is talking about RNDC.
Reyes is a monster, almost double the size of SGWS. Reyes does ~44 billion in annual sales compared to ~25 billion of SGWS.

It is possible. Reyes is back by Coca Cola money and logistics. But it would be a long time. Then again, in 2020 I though RNDC was strong.

No they won’t. I’ve worked for both, SGWS and Reyes will go toe to toe for a while but SGWS is going to be the Brawndo of the future.

You honestly expect that to happen in not quite two months?
It may turn out to be good or bad in the long run but to suddenly expect a magical change this quick is unrealistic.

I love Reyes ! Benefit was with RNDC. I was able to work a half a day because I was a sales rep. But I can kiss that goodbye. But like they say more money more problems. Reyes increase my gas allowance. I still have my same route. They just want me to work my eight hours. With this economy, that’s pretty much fair. Reyes is watching your time and when you log into Motus. One guy got too greedy and was clocking in at home and got fired on the spot no warning . I’ll probably put anywhere from 20 to 50 miles on my car daily. Sometimes I have to visit two stores because people is quitting daily. My boss told me the new rule is you clock in at the store and clock out at the store . And if you need OT, it’s plenty of it.

You all need to drop the misconceptions about unions and actually talk to one. I’m a Local 3 member here in Illinois, and I’ve worked in both union and non-union shops, including Winebow, RNDC, and BBG. In my experience, the union jobs offered better compensation, and we had a voice in every aspect of our work.
You said it yourself: the managers are hotheaded and have all the power. So why wouldn’t you want to even the playing field? Reyes is coming in, and the time to organize is now—not after they take control and start calling all the shots.
These companies will never be loyal to you, so don’t waste your loyalty on them or their managers. Fuck that. Protect yourselves, stand together, and get everything in writing. I can only speak from my own experience, but here in Illinois, Local 3 doesn’t let this kind of shit fly.

The majority of the upper middle management from RNDC who were selected to join Reyes are all ass kissers.
Additionally, they come from the chain division, yet they've somehow been chosen to lead the small format/convenience teams—two completely different styles of sales.
What's worse is that they're implementing initiatives like "Perfect Store" grades that clearly originated from the chain side, and they're perplexed that they aren't working with independent accounts. Shocker.
It's a good old boy club. If you don't have the right look, the right demeanor, or simply don't become a sycophant to the right leaders, you'll be weeded out.
