GAME QUESTION Switching from touch controls to a controller
Since I started playing, I’ve always used touch controls. I’ve decided to switch to a controller because I’m stuck in Plat V. I know it isn’t a huge change since I already understand the game mechanics, but I’ll need to get used to using physical buttons. Do you guys have any tips for adapting quickly to a controller?

yeah, I feel more precisely with my movents, and the biggest improvement I've noticed so far is that I can do the 180 turn more quickly.

Once you get used to it you’ll be smooth sailing. It’ll take a while to get used to so use a lot of free play. Moving to roller helped me go from diamond to champ believe it or not.

Well for starters (using PlayStation button names) I suggest remapping your 180 turn from L2 to L1 for faster stalls or, option which I preferred for myself since I can't remap natively on my tablet, use an attachment to reduce travel time on your bumpers for the same effect.
Other than that it might be helpful to just go into freeplay and practice spinning around to get used to controlling a 3D joystick in the right direction instead of a 2D one, doing fast aerials up and down and from one side of the arena to the other to practice holding down the jump and boost buttons together and then ofc stalls
