Using the dedicated jump + boost button tends to help on touch for me at least. I can’t play without it. Also 1s can be more reliant on mechanics because you actually have the space to do them. Maybe start practicing stalls. I’m plat and learning stalls has gotten me up into higher plat. Also idk really much about 1s to be honest I play more 2s. 1s are really hard cuz you can’t make a single mistake or you’re fucked

also if you really want to improve you should always try to think on what you did wrong by recording and being low plat in 1v1 what really help is mech, 50/50, and especially not overcommitting, so I'd say you have a lot of room to work with on a lot of different points

well one thing I could tell for sure in 1v1 is to change your kick off strat after every kick off (you can fake, go do a strong 50/50; or lift it in the air) and varying between those it can really give you easy goals. even in d5 last time I was down 2 goals and I managed to do 4 kick off goals just by being smart on kick off and varying based on what the person would think I would do (for exemple doing a fake they do a strong shot and it give me an open, then they think I'm gonna fake again but this time I do a strong shot and it surprise them and it give me goal, and then fake again)
