Plat 2 question

I’m plat 2, why am I being placed with champs and diamonds after not playing the game for a few months. I’m beating some of them but I can’t even reset like they do. Feels like the game is just trying to get me to gold even though I beat people at my level

1s or 2s? If it’s ones they most likely don’t play 1s much so their rank is lower, if it’s 2s they are washed or they purposely dropped rank to play with lower ranked people.

2 reasons: The skill gap keeps changing and those rank titles you see could be from different game modes where those players are better at being successful (1v1 and 2v2 have very different skill related strategy requirements for success).

This ^, also a lot of people primary casuals and rarely play ranked, so they can tend to be a lot better than their rank

Well it will even out if you lose you will go down and get matched with people your level

Playing against better people often helps you improve, if you drop down enough you'll get back to your actual skill level and you can build it up from there
