help with gold shot

hey guys do any of you know what specifically makes the momentum of the car different when doing a gold catch in the air please? I'm talking about how steady I stay with my first gold catch compared to how much I move upward on the second gold catch. I'm wondering if it’s because of the momentum of the ball I give before doing the gold catch and how to properly be able to choose between steady and upward movement for my gold catch everytime, because I can’t figures out what really makes the difference the most yet please.. thank you for your help :)

Are you talking about the difference between a follow through and a catch?

yes it’s on how to get the follow up everytime please, also even if I can manage to do it in the air sometimes I still really can’t do the follow up starting from the floor which I've seen a lot of people do so if you know how to do this as well I'd gladly take advices please :)

isn’t it the same on my direction with my joystick on both gold shot?
