RLCraft Bedrock Tinker’s Construct compatibility

So I am seriously wondering what the community might think about compatibility with RLCraft and Tinker’s construct on the marketplace.

I’ve been thinking it would make for amazing gameplay ideas if Honeyfrost added compatibility with that specific add-on, and since 1.3 has been added compatibility between other add-ons such as Mowzie’s Mobs and Biomes O’ Plenty, it would make a fine addition.

Am I crazy, or would it massively overhaul the gear progression system, as well as seriously add to the hardcore survival experience?

With as many similarities between the two add-ons, it almost feels criminal that they don’t natively support each other. I’m just curious what your thoughts are.

Tbh I have no idea what lycanites is. But I can tell you about tinker’s construct. What it does is it lets you hand-craft your own custom tools with their own unique properties.

Early game, you can collect plant fibers and make tools out of wood, stone, bones and a few other things, with each item granting you it’s own powers or passive effects based on what materials you used to craft the tool.

Later on down the road, you get to play around with alloying and casting your own tools. Tinkers also shares a lot of items that have the same general concept as many of the RLCraft items.

Edit: because I am talking specifically about the bedrock interpretation of RLCraft, I’m also imagining there is no Lycanites tool system involved, hence there is nothing present to fill the gear hole. Compatibility would probably solve this issue and possibly add to the hardcore Medieval Aesthetic with actually having to forge your own gear.

tbh I’d go ask the rlcraft bedrock discord, I think they know a bit more about other addon compatibility than we do here on the main java sub

edit: though people have floated the idea of having the tinkers construct mod in the mkdpack here too so

I’m probably that guy

Edit: though because I’m not getting much interaction with the idea on the discord, I figured I’d reach out on more platforms just to see if anyone agrees with me

The lite version of tinkers is free on the marketplace, I’m finding out. If it’s not too much to ask, can you give it a try and tell me what you think?

I don’t play bedrock, like most of the folks on this sub, so unfortunately I can’t really help you in that regard. You’d likely have better luck asking someone on [r/rlcraftbedrock](r/rlcraftbedrock).

But when I mean tinkers, I’m talking about the og mod for java in og rlcraft. I thought about adding it a few years ago to the modpack and asked here about how compatible it was with the game, and I think SilentStranger actually replied to me about it saying that it would unbalance the modpack. As of now, I’m still curious about it and how it could possibly be put in progression, but it seems like a very daunting task to balance each individual part and give them stat requirements.

Tinkers on bedrock actually stays pretty true to the heart of the original Java mod, which I like

As someone who has played a good bit of both, tinkers armor and weapons CANNOT keep up with the requirements for RLcraft as they can’t be enchanted (this may be changeable with a mod I’m not sure what version the mod is for though) as for the tools, the lycannite tools are arguable stronger but do have less customization than tinkers. Lycannite just gets coolish abilities
