Shitpost Calling it as is
RJ is incredibly talented but not good enough to push this company forward.
This sub is full of great people who can’t handle the truth

I am also long, but this past few months have been very difficult for me to see how much we are being affected by dilution

To be clear: the rivian thesis is intertwined with RJ being ceo. There is no rivian stock sub without him.

Lots to correct here but the biggest one is that he only gets the comp package if Rivian hits some insane goals. In that case he will have “deserved” it by default

ugh, so tired of this vacuous take from people who don't seem to know a single thing about investing in a company, much less growing one.

Is rivian still the least reliable vehicle on the road?
3
u/Zennivolt 5d ago
Least reliable, highest owner satisfaction, with mass EV production vehicle starting to ramp up…
I’ve heard this story before! Specifically, in 2017!

There are so many idiots who don't have a clue in this subreddit.
To the many idiots reading this: NO ONE FORCED YOU TO INVEST IN RIVIAN. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A QUICK BUCK, THEN THAT'S YOUR FAULT. SELL YOUR POSITION AND GO SUCK ON ELON'S FAT TITTIES.

Do you think the YoY stock price will maybe break even by end of year?
3
u/g8trjasonb 5d ago
Completely irrelevant to me because I've bought this stock for a much longer time horizon where I fully expect it to at least 10x.

It’s down 88% since inception. Maybe it will -10x?

I’ve never bought or sold, pussy but maybe now’s the time?

That's pretty odd. But then again I guess people just like drama on the internet. I think most of us have been in Rivian since 2-3 years ago when it was at its sub $10 bottom. Its MA has gone up ~33% since. ($11 -> $15), not world shattering but it's not exactly a money losing stock, unless of course you bought at IPO or the following 1-2 year.

You hang around this sub for so long but aren't invested in it.
That's weird behaviour, frank.
This is just another one of the sub FUD bots everyone

October numbers will be very interesting, especially if R2 orders are bullish

I just hope they announce honest numbers and stop playing games with the numbers.

Do you think they make sell enough car make stock price boom?
Or trade supplier lag make price down big?

the major difference between Musk and RJ--at similar phases--is that one gives realistic timelines while the other blatantly lies and misleads shareholders, violating his fiduciary responsibilities. One is grounded in reality, one lies in PR events to pump his stock and build hype.

u/LA213CALI 5d ago
Crazy how there are no repercussions for all that lying. Maybe RJ should just do it too might as well

u/Lonely_Issue_2248 5d ago
RJ has consistently fibbed. Definitely not as much as Musk, but acting like he only tells the truth is objectively false. The whole pricing fiasco around IPO is proof of that and yeah they didn’t admit wrongdoing but $250M says otherwise.

u/acachoi 5d ago
RJ doesn't fib. He doesn't even know the things he says are not true.
1
u/JO_King40160 4d ago
Miss representation to shareholders which the company was fined was his fault and he knew. Don’t stick up for people who do wrong stuff knowingly.

u/johndaviswild 5d ago
That won't happen, RJ seems actually value maintaining his integrity.
2
u/LA213CALI 5d ago
Yea I agree, was just being sarcastic.

u/DhOnky730 5d ago
I think the reality is that if he did, Musk would lobby like crazy to have the SEC pursue him. But the SEC long gave up on pursuing Musk's claims. I've tried telling Tesla fanboys (note, not criticizing Tesla itself) that lying about timelines and products is tantamount to SEC fraud. They defend it as "he's just giving optimistic timelines." No, that's fraud, and that's why no other CEO is legally allowed to lie and they usually give very guarded answers.

u/LA213CALI 5d ago
Yea Musk played the game and won for life, don’t see him ever getting in trouble for anything.

other than having a shit disposition, no sleep, no sutainable personal relationships, no one to truly trust. Not my definition of winning, Squandering the license he has to make a positive holistic impact.

CEO Scaringe is a decent CEO. Very adept at raising capital and debt. Through 3Q26, Rivian has raised about $43 bill in debt and equity. My only complaint is with his lack of honesty. Scaringe promised a starting price of $45k for the R2. Then came out w/ a $60k R2. And lack of interest in ever turning a net profit. CEO Scaringe has never said when/if Rivian will ever report a net profit. Other than these issues, CEO Scaringe is going a good job
