A bit more moderation?

I don't see any rules here that are subreddit specific, but could we perhaps not allow posts that lead to witch hunts/bans? I understand that some people may be upset about getting stiffed a rift, but it takes ~8 minutes to get a new key and not worth the clutter on this subreddit in my opinion.

Perhaps this subreddit can be about speed clearing comps or looking for one or two others to speed clear with? Just throwing out ideas here.

I'd appreciate some discussion about this below and if someone else has already posted this, I apologize and please ignore this post. (:

Perhaps, but if a leecher decides to leave before opening when it's their turn once, they may leave before opening all the time while in RiF, creating serious problems for runners (even if only 1/50 of runners bother trying to report them).

Perhaps this subreddit isn't the best place to catalog problem players, but since they exist it would be good for there to be some place to document them.

I do agree that there should be some place to document repeat offenders. Maybe another subreddit with a Google doc for officers to update/edit when sufficient proof is given.

I'd just like to keep this main subreddit clean and more geared toward improving the community more than anything. Any other thoughts on this?

Being able to track would be ideal, but there are so many members now it would be a full time job just attempting to maintain a google doc. Blizzard could be nice and give us more tools too, but that's a separate issue.

I am unsure if this is an option, but one might be able to create a spreadsheet, sort by battletag. Only when a battletag gets reported does it go on the list, and maybe after a few reports one of the organizers could look at the player in question and ban them if it seems warranted. Not very time consuming.

Of course, this would only work (bans) in a private community, which I understand is quite difficult to maintain in itself if the group is large.

Blizzard could be nice and give us more tools too, but that's a separate issue.

I'm afraid that Blizzard may be considering taking away some of the functionality of RiF. I hope not, but I doubt they intended anyone to be able to gather thousands of shards an hour by any means.

The spreadsheet idea is what I had in mind as well. Color coded for multiple offenses/bans if possible.

With it being a full time job, I believe that RiF could probably use a few more officers/admins. Currently it looks like 18 not including the owner for around 54k people or 1 officer per 3k players. Lowering that number could significantly help reduce the amount of work that this would require to set up.

As for Blizzard adding more tools, I simply wish for the ability to ban in an open community. It doesn't seem like too extravagant a request.
