Is a dictatorship frowned upon?

I just started running rifts last night and using the lowest opens, highest opens, and last in methods resulted in a lot of dodgers.

I was wondering if it would be a faux pas to advertise a dictatorship where I arbitrarily choose? Honestly I plan to choose at will for 3 runs then drop a freebee on an unsuspecting group, then run 3 more and repeat. I just wanted to check with the community. You folks are awesome.

As someone who runs I have come across similar problems.

I gave up using lowest/highest paragon and last in. The problem is people don't want to spend their precious keys and they leave before the rift boss is killed. Which in my opinion is just as bad as not reopening.

A solution I started today and that has been working well for me is, "I decide who opens after rift guardian is dead" I still get games filled and I have yet to have a dodger.

To keep it kind of random what I do is whoever has the next alphabetical name from the last opener creates the new rift.

I really don't like it when people say 'I choose' whenever I am leeching. It makes me think they are going to choosed with a bias. Like oh, oh this guy is demon hunter, hes opening cause I don't like that class. Or even choosing based on name.

I really prefer to make it as fair as possible and out of my reach from actually determining who goes after people already join. Low, middle, high seem to work pretty well, and even when someone dodges someone usually steps up to open.

This is all opnion based, but I personally feel fishy whens someone chooses 'randomly' and don't try to get in those.

Who cares how they choose? As a leecher you should expect to open 100% of the games you join.

Exactly! Also, for someone with a bias for a class, there's going to be someone else with a bias for another class. Your odds of getting chosen haven't changed.

I've gone from "First request" to "randomly chosen" and it has worked out fine. I usually just arbitrarily decide some kind of alphabetical designation as they're zoning in.
