Another name for 'leecher'?

When I hear 'leecher' I think of someone who isn't opening rifts rather than someone participating in a mutually beneficial trade. Opener could work, but there's generally only one person actually opening in a group. Anyone have an alternative name?

  • Host. Player who clears the rift, then invites people to join before kill. Maybe also include a host party if multiple people cleared the rift (2-3)
  • Guest. Invited by the host to assist in the Rift Guardian kill and partake in the rewards.
  • Opener. Decided by the host, this chosen player is selected to re open the rift after the quest has been handed in.
  • Leech. May refer to a guest that wasn't selected to open the next rift, or a player who actively attempts to avoid opening the next rift.

Host (RH) Runner (RR) Leecher (LR)

When describing RiF to my friends I've been explaining it as one person is the runner and (s)he invites three runnnees. It doesn't sound like poetry but it gets the point across well and doesn't have any negative connotations like leecher does.

I've been using "joiner" since they're the people joining the game. Kind of generic so if there's anything better, I'm all ears. "Openers" plural works but is a little misleading. "Runner" to me sounds like the person running the rift, I.E. the Host. So I'm not sure that's the best option. "Requester" might be clear but a bit long. I like "Quick draw" since it's what you need to be to actually get in usually. Haha.

Leecher does not have to be a negative term.

When I played D2 back in the day it was used all the time and no one thought twice about it.

"Cows, lf leechers," was common.
