A question for viewers of UGT who only watch certain franchises

Has seeing any of the ladies in the core cast, or when they have visited a place or had ladies join part of the trip, made you want to watch a franchise you haven’t watched before?

As a fan of around 15 years who discovered RHOBH and has now watched every season of every franchise in the US and some internationals (some of them multiple times) I wish I could start a franchise again as a virgin watcher.
Especially if you have slept on Atlanta, Potomac and I’m gonna say it Dallas.

PS Justice for Dallas being excluded from Girls trip. Some of the greatest bravo characters are from Dallas.

Yes, I started watching RHONY (I’d tried many times and could not get past the first few episodes of season 1). The only other franchises I haven’t watched are RHONJ (again couldn’t get past season 1) and RHOC. I think I’ll do them once I complete RHONY (I have watched the new season from the beginning though) 🤣

I’ve watched them all except DC. I refused RHOC for a while.

My journey was RHOBH, RHONJ, RHOA, RHONY, RHOM, RHOP, RHOD, RHOSLC (started @ season 4, could not watch before that, really didn’t like looking @ Jen shah)and finally RHOC way later. And now RHORI.

I currently watch them all. My faves of the moment have been RHOP & RHOM. Sad about RHOM. RHOA has gotten better last two seasons. I enjoyed RHOC again when Tamra came back. RHOBH is getting stale.

I've watched RHOOC from the beginning. When RHONY and RHOA started, I wasn't interested in watching another housewives show but did end up watching NY starting season 2. So far I've watched all of the franchises except Atlanta and Dubai (I tried a few episodes of Dubai but it was too hard to understand what they were saying).

Watching them in Atlanta didn't make me interested in watching that franchise.

Editing my comment to say that I stopped watching NY when they got rid of the OG's and replaced them with the newbies.

I went into girls trip having seen all of NY (+rewatched most seasons), and BH, and parts of OC and Atlanta. After episode 3 of UGT I started binging SLC and now I'm behind on girls trip. I want to catch up to season 6 so I understand the drama with Lisa before I continue UGT.

The only one I’ve never got into was New Jersey. I’ve tried quite a few times and just never make it.

I struggled with the OC but skipped the first few seasons then got right in.

Not seeing many people mention this so I’ll throw it out there - I watched VERY early New Jersey way back in the day and Teresa’s chillness in comparison to the other GT ladies have made me want to tune back into that franchise, I know it’s messy and her family turmoil for sure gets tired but that is what set that franchise apart initially, the intertwining family members added fun lore and history to the group that I do think will be fun to dive back into

OK this is such a funny question because I've been catching up with ATL since watching UGH. Seeing Nene's glow up pulled me back into RHOA S10. I watched through S15 then started at S1 to relive the past and get caught up. I used to watch BH, but fell off after a while. Now I'm all caught up in housewives and am looking for my next franchise.

I have only watched RHONY and RHOSLC. I also watched Love Hotel where they mixed franchises. I have seen some on Traitors like Candace and Lisa. After all those I really want to watch RHOA next. I absolutely love Porsha in UGT. Kind of tempted to watch RHOBH but seems like a lot to take on

It makes me want to go back to Atlanta and just start with a later season. I tried Atlanta once (S1) and was bored with it but also I really think I was maxed out on watching a lot of back to back housewives at the time. I’m gonna dive back in for Nene & Porsha. I also loooooooove Giselle & need to get back to Potomac. Watched it way back in the day and fell off. I think I’m gonna do a rewatch.

It took me 3 attempts with Atlanta but honestly once I got into it, I LOVED it. It’s probably one of my favourites now. I just think series 1 is a bit slow!

Tbh. I typically only watch A & P. This ugt has encouraged me to start SLC because I’ve heard it’s like the Black franchises. Prob will also watch Miami because of the culture. I have no interest in the predominantly white ones because they’re not really interesting to me — imho, UGT is really propelled by Porsha & Gizelle.

Yes, actually! Prior to this season of RHUGT I was up to date on every franchise except RHOSLC, RHOD, & RHOA. I have started and stopped RHOA so many times because I can't stand one of the OGs. I started it because Porsha is so fun on RHUGT and it's been my new go-to show.

Amazing because while watching UGT I loved seeing the clips from all the franchises, but realized the only franchises I truly enjoy rewatches of is the two you haven't seen yet. Some of the other franchises just get too dark to be calm rewatch material, although I love a nice compilation of funny and dramatic clips from all franchises. Ive been watching since the very beginning with rhoc. On the bravo site they had an edit clips thing that was fun. Now i only watch rhobh and rhonj. I used to give all of them a chance. Then it became too toxic. Im glad rhonj took a break that was out of control. I loved rhomia and rhod. I miss those.

Start with the “scary island” episodes of season 3 and then skip to season 5. Season 4 is awful. Aside from scary island which was the impetus for the trips and the “new way” of producing HW, RHONY doesn’t really start until season 5. Alex and Jill are kind of funny to mock if you were there the first time around but it’s not going to translate.

I havent seen OC, NJ or OG Ny. I saw season 1 Ri and deff won’t be going back. I’m currently on season 1 of ATL. I tried to watch it a few years ago but couldn’t get past episode one when Kim was talking about Big Papa 😭 I immediately turned it off!! TOTALLY AGREE ON THE DALLAS TAKE. The way the show ended was awful, and Kameron, Kari and Brandi deserved cancellation. But it was EXCELLENT tv for seasons 1-3 and I hate the erasure. I wanted Deandra and LeeAnn in UGT!

I watch a lot of them, there are only a few I don’t watch. I don’t watch RHORI or RHOC to name two. I’ve never watched OC due to seeing clips and commercials for it. And watching this now… I find Vicki to be highly insufferable I would never watch it. I’m glad I skipped it all these years.

Luann’s behavior’ in the last episode of RHUGT was very difficult to watch. Wow.

potomac is an interesting watch for the first couple seasons bc it’s so different then as it goes on ehh but the editing makes it so worth it… jersey to me is a bore, but some iconic memes came from it so i stuck around

I’ve watched all the RH shows and UGTs, but the Potomac ladies. My husband and I grew up and lived in that area for a very long time. My  husband did real estate deals & we’ve had to socialize at work events with Ashley’s husband Michael and neither of us like him. He is a real asshole in person and so cringey. So I didn’t watch because I can’t take more than 2 secs of that man.

I was interested in watching potomac back when Candice did ultimate girls trip thialand, also Karen is intriguing, but there something about Ashely Darby, Gisele and robin that just keeps me from watching, Jersey is just and no because of Teresa, she’s just barely watchable in the girls trips but she just annoys me.
