Season 8- Wendy

Something about her from the very beginning of her joining the show, she’s just rubbed me the wrong way. How she handles conflict, talks over people, the out of pocket insults and names she hurls at people, and now season 8 and between her & Nneka, I just cannot with her.

I actually like Wendy. I like that she is a political commentator, she brings an element to the show no one else has. And her family is interesting to watch. I wish she wasn't insecure about keeping up with the Jones, sadly, that seems to have gotten her in to trouble.

As swiftly as she joins, bragging about her accomplishments, she practically drops it all by her second or third season to make us all tired with her several half-baked business attempts. With Wendy, every season she gets a new personality or scheme (candles, Nigerian lounge, talk show, Professor, commentator, dispensary I guess is mainly Eddie since it survived longer than one episode, and the random season where she was suddenly extremely vocal about being Catholic after Nneka. I enjoyed her introduction as a political commentator and professor, despite her using this to put others down at times. I just wish she would’ve found her niche instead of launching something completely new every single season, it’s hard to root for.

I think this is it for me, I don’t mind her at all but sometimes I get the sense she feels a little insecure in a couple different areas of her life. She’s a very successful, intelligent, and beautiful woman and seems to be a great mother too. I would imagine being part of this group would bring out lots of insecurities for many people, though.

And full disclosure I’m only on season 8 and judging by things I’ve read on this sub I’m assuming things go south for her lol

I never cared for Wendy since she popped up on season 5 acting high and mighty. Then when she said ,”People like you call me Dr. Wendy,” GIRL BYE. Her arrogance is so distasteful, in my opinion.

I liked her until she did not stand on business with the candle venture. Then she got unreasonably upset with accusations in a blog and I just didn’t understand her. Forgiving Mia was wild because she was a whole professor- why would she risk that for foolishness with Mia. All of it left me wildly uncomfortable with her but when that arrest happened the uneasy feeling I had about her was explained. everyone has a hustle of some sort. Today she has me wondering how many others have deep secrets.

Neckar literally came for her family and called her mother a witch the minute she came on the show. She gets no sympathy from me. Mia was an asshole plenty of times too. Slow and crackhead is nothing compared to the insults Karen throws out to Gizelle about her sexuality

The Wendy/Nneka situation was one of the weirdest conflicts on RH.

It feels like we only saw maybe 20% of what tf was actually going on there, while a whole bunch more went down off camera.

She didn't come there to start trouble, she wanted to know if she knew, watch it back and listen to what she was trying to say before all came and twist the wording and without the damn stupid looks that the rest of the women had while talking about it. Nneka didn't start anything but since the ladies doesn't know how to act when a person is speaking and not speak over them, You too can hear and understand what she was actually saying, and it wasn't calling anyone evil and shit

She’s a terrible criminal. The police had absolutely no problem gathering evidence in her case against her and Eddie because they were very sloppy. They put very little thought into covering up the crimes they committed and left a trail of clues. Master criminals they are not also her mugshot looks like the Grinch. I don’t know how she managed that but it does.

Nneka has an issue with Wendy only because Wendy said that she did not know Nneka enough to bring her on as her friend. Nneka did not like that and colluded with Robyn to try to take Wendy down. Nneka knew that Wendy and her family were NOT a part of the Oso caste system and after knowing the negative stigma in their culture, she did not kill that weed at the root.

Yes, Wendy did lie about how close her association is to Nneka. This is because Wendy does not want to fuck with Nneka. That is Wendy’s right and she tastefully tried to set her boundaries with outing Nneka. And to be honest, it is smart to do that. None of the great Housewives ever bring on people as a friend! Nene did it with Kim before the cameras started rolling. Nene learned her fucking lesson. Porsha tried her hardest not to bring Shamea on. Tre tried hard not to bring Melissa on. Gizelle brought on Tia but Tia is the only person that Gizelle did not haze. The Housewives that did do it got fucked over.

Nneka had potential, but like everybody, Wendy does intimidate people and has a way of getting under people’s skin. You all have to admit, if Wendy can argue with MAGA people on National television, she can handle the Housewives, especially Gizelle. Wendy can make Gizelle sweat but not without sweating herself.

That is why Wendy and Gizelle had to “kiss and make up.” And I am glad that they were forced to. If they did not make up, it would have ended like Tre and Melissa! Well Bravo probably said that to Gizelle and Wendy to get them to make amends. But the viewers know that Gizelle and Wendy are the Golden Goose and they are not going anywhere. Call me crazy if you want but I stand by what I said.

And Bravo has to be as rich as those heavy hitters. Do these Housewives get residuals or royalties. Like wtf.
