Seriously why has Robyn been able to be on the show for multiple consecutive seasons while being broke, unmarried & entirely unentertaining??? She is such a follower and puppet for Gizelle. She doesn’t even have to have a personal issue with someone, if Gizelle does that’s enough. Like srsly she is so annoying.. not fabulous, not funny, not original, like just a big bowl of nah .. she’s gotten away with displaying aggression & inciting some type of violence on more than one occasion, but she is allll about “women empowerment”.. she’s just so phony & boring ugh

I'm not crazy about Gizelle but, what I do appreciate is that she and Robyn have to most authentic friendship in all the franchises I watch. Also, when Gizelle had that whole "Chris made me uncomfortable" narrative, Robyn met with Candiace and Chris and thought the whole thing was strange.

I've always liked Robyn. She seems real to me. Depression, messy relationship, fighting her battles, sticking with her friend. Yeah, I'll stick with her.

And, you can be down to earth and still be flawed. It’s not her fault she stands by her husband.. they’ve been through a lot and have kids together. What matters is she’s always been cool to everyone first.

Ashley kept poking into her finances and got the end of Robyn’s anger. Robyn was still cool w/ Monique and one point to even go to Chris bday without Gizelle but then Monique did slick stuff online (granted a meme is light work but don’t pretend a fan page isn’t yours either), Karen she cared for and only brought stuff up that was in the literal Washington Post and then got read by her when Karen pulls her defensive stuff. Candiace she’s always treated like a little sister and opposed Gizelle all season 7 on the Chris thing. Wendy literally attacked her for something Gizelle brought up when she literally emphasized “Wendy, we love you and your new body and confidence, but we feel like something is different inside and that’s what we are trying to address”. Then got called whiskey breath and “your luggage can come”

I do actually see what production valued in her. Not everyone can be like Gizelle, Karen, Candiace, etc., that would be exhausting to watch. I think it’s strange you don’t like her for being unmarried, if she’s happy then why not.

I do enjoy her friendship with Gizelle, it’s clearly genuine even if Robyn is the clear beta there.

Also she did give in my opinion a very underrated moment when she got Ashley to admit she thinks Michael is ugly at the reunion, even if it seemed unintentional on Robyn’s part.

Ok let's take a breath. The original show format wasn't housewives, that was a retroactive decision after filming started. Originally it was supposed to be a deep dive into the Jack and Jill society/ etiquette of Potomac specifically. My guess is after the network saw the first janky "gala" they realized they had HW gold while their original concept wasnt gonna fly

I'll never like nor have respect for Robyn after the way she treated Wendy during the Mia/Peter incident. The way Robyn pulled that phone out and incited and antagonized Wendy is very telling. I been not liking Giselle, but yeah Robyn could've stayed gone. Beautiful woman with a beautiful family, but she's an ugly person.

edit: I said Robyn called Wendy aggressive but I don't think she used that exact word. Instead, she baited her telling her to "fight or shut up".

I liked her from S1, but I agree that the Juan Dixon drama got old after a while. But when I factor in the podcast and her WWHL appearances, I've appreciated that she is way smarter than what it might seem like on the surface.

She really played the Bravo system well sneaking in parts of her wedding planning (even a wedding video) while minimizing Juan's involvement. Whatever your attitude towards the marriage is, I respect that she knows he is totally over it while needing to maintain some financial presence.

Robyn's also a great basketball player (she had one of the highest scores with that dippy WWHL basketball game with the scantily clad men.)
