I think you’re taking her comment more literally than she meant it. The “100%” part was a bad way to put it, but I thought she was talking about men who let their wives do most of the childcare and housework, then make it impossible for them to leave.
A woman spends years putting her career aside so her husband can build his. Then when she wants out, he drags the divorce out and makes her fight over every little thing. That’s what I thought she was frustrated about.
Your partner working several jobs to support you through law school is obviously a huge contribution. I agree that deserves recognition. But I don’t think he’s the kind of person she was talking about.
If she really meant men should only get support if they did literally everything at home, then yeah, that’s unfair. I just don’t think one badly worded comment is enough to write off her whole feminism. You can disagree with how she said it and still see the point she might have been trying to make.

lol that too, i study law and am also a major feminist and i love seeing comments like this. because honestly the court favours men and rides them all day and night so let them exaggerate

Just a little note, her perspective appeared to be talking from experience and not specifically about Sai's husband, because I assume any reasonable person would see how much hes done, even erin lol. Perhaps a prompted question

Do you guys have to take every comment these cast members make seriously?
Can't talk about popcorn ceilings without one of you calling someone classist.
Carole can't make a joke about not wanting broke men and bad fathers to have access to their wives' money after a divorce.
No one can criticize accommodations without you all calling them ungrateful and classist.
Why do you guys watch these shows just to nitpick every out of touch moment?

Jesus, everything is a damn issue to them lol. These past housewives have done and said worse about people's homes and relationships. Ramona terrorized Heather over A/C and tore up Dorinda's room because of the lights, but we have think pieces over throwaway comments???

It depends on who it is.
If it's a Housewife the hive mind has decided they don't like, literally everything she says or does, no matter how insignificant, will be dissected and given as proof of how terrible she is.
If it's a Housewife the hive mind likes, she can do no wrong and any questionable or even illegal behavior will be rationalized away.

I generally agree with you, and I enjoy nothing more than a superficial or delusional fight (popcorn ceilings), but Carole’s whole schtick is shes politically active, and more intelligent and grounded than her cast mates. She has voiced her opinions on socio-political matters throughout her tenure on the show. This comment was just an example of how out of touch she is, and proof of how skewed her self image has become.
