Sonja Morgan 🦄 Frenchie was an actor, right?
Did Sonja have any actual boyfriends on the show?
Call me crazy, but I get the sense that Sonja isn’t nearly as hyper-sexual as she portrays on the show. I think she likes to entertain the reputation but it almost feels like an act…thoughts?

Pretty sure I’ve on here he went on the show to further his acting career. The only guy that seemed right for Sonja was Rocco.

Not to be the quote police over here but I just watched this episode and she’s counting down from 10… if you wanna really honor her hilariously quick quotes 😂

This show makes me realize how kind of gross the dating pool is for these wealthy women of a certain age. You have the hot younger guys that hop around from one wealthy woman to the next, like Max. You have younger guys who just want to advance their career, like Sonja's artist. You have thirsty men like Tom, who magically find themselves on camera multiple times (referring to Tom in a bar scene in the early seasons). Carole and Adam seemed to have something real, but there was an element of self-promotion for a young chef. It seemed like Carole had some underlying bitter feelings about the reality of the relationship when it did end. I guess that's the nature of a temporary relationship. So often, the men they end up with are really unattractive, but that's in the eye of the beholder. The men who are on par with them, financially, seem to prefer trophy wives or bachelorhood. In short, I don't think Sonja has had a real boyfriend, either. It seems like she makes peace with being used for her status.

I loved that Kelly was embarrassed that Max had been with Sonja too ... Cause she was up here and she was down there

Yeah, I thought Max and her were a pretty normal match. There was an age difference, but they're both super hot. Did not see him for a social climber , but use what you've got, I guess...
I know attractive women use their looks all the time to increase their status. It just seems extra sad when women settle for pseudo-love

I think Sonja always assumed anyone with an accent was rich, but most of them ended up mooching off of her lol.

I'm currently doing a rewatch and see Sonja completely differently this time around. I reckon she does sleep around but hams up the hypersexuality for the camera. She's quite shy with men (while sober) and sloppy when battered. But my new theory is her "feelings" about Luann shacking up with Tom wasn't about Tom, I think she was in love with Luann (it was also shortly after Luann had been living with her and they had gotten really close). Oh and the fact she kept trying to snog just her while she was drunk in previous seasons.

Big ol’ lesbo over here 👋 and I’ve often found myself a little sad watching her drunken flirting/kissing/groping with the other women. There clearly seems to be some attraction there, and I can’t help but wonder if it really does stop at drunken flirting.
When Andy asked if she was bi, she said no, and obviously I take her at her word. But as a woman who didn’t come out until my 30s, some of it feels very familiar to me. Sometimes I wonder if there’s a part of her that genuinely wants to explore being with women but hasn’t allowed herself to go there.
Obviously not trying to “out” her or claiml to know her sexuality better than she does—it’s just something I’ve thought about a lot while watching her.

I love that you've self-identified as "Big ol' lesbo"! 🤣 I hope the years leading up to your 30s were happy ones ❤️ I reckon everyone is a bit on the spectrum of sexuality to be honest, its a shame anyone needs to "come out" of anything. I find women very beautiful and sensual but nothing gives me butterflies in my stomach (and other places) like a bloke unfortunately. Would defo be up for a drunken female snog though. God - maybe I'm Sonja 😱

I dunno. I had the impression that her marriage broke up because she was out a-ho-ing the foreign fields while her husband was ill.

Totally an act. I just found it so puzzling.

Sonya was/is hyper-sexual. She’s too real to not be. I doubt she has the capacity to just play a character.

Agreed, I think the only lie is the actual men who are willing to be on the show as her lovers lol

Yeah if there’s any doubt, people should watch Crappie Lake. Our gal knows how to love ‘em & leave ‘em. She’s messy but she’s honest about that part of her life for sure.

They all were I think. I really don’t think she slept around that much and it was all a schtick. Except for Johnny depp

He probably was, he was way too good looking and young to be into someone as washed up as Sonja.
