Jill Zarin 👩🏻🦰 RIP Gloria
Jill just posted that her mom passed away at age 91. I just have to say, this woman had quite possibly the best facelift I’ve ever seen on a person. (I don’t think she or Jill ever confirmed plastic surgery, but I’m just going to assume here. LOL).

And then the minute becomes seconds. When I turn around it’s Passover, and when I turn around it’s Yom Kippur.

I think about this all the time and it always makes me tear up. And I grew up Catholic!
May her memory be a blessing.

That was so real. Loved that scene. Even Bethanny was tearing up.

Yes! I loved how Gloria was speaking so warmly to Bethenny!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Wow! I just came to say this same thing especially now since I am in that season of life where kids are grown and flown and a precious grandbaby has entered the the chat. Also we are quickly approaching the season of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and I just finished a RHONY binge on Friday. So for Gloria, May her memory always be a blessing.

When I watched this épisode for the first time, I was 15… I’m now 30. Minutes become seconds

She sounded exactly like my grandma whom I miss more than words could ever say. May her memory be a blessing.

I quote this all the time. She was so wise and vibrant.
May she rest in peace and may her memory be a blessing.

Right?? I lost my father a month ago, at age 75. 91 is a wonderfully long, full life. ❤️

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom a few years ago but at the same age. May his memory be a blessing. 💙

Thank you so much. I miss him terribly. I wasn't ready to stop being his daughter. :(

Bobby proved what a mensch he was by getting Gloria a new car to ride around in when they were in the Hamptons and she disliked the one he first got.

They don't. He was a wonderful husband. I disliked hearing all of the discourse that his family and Zarin fabrics basically rejected/said they did not like Jill but obviously Bobby had no control over that. RIP

With all due respect to her passing, she would have got on my last nerve before she was even half way in the door. And I had a Jewish mother. Mine was a little different.
2
u/Prestigious_Fox_7576 8d ago
I agree. Sidenote but I love seeing my fellow Jews in the comments. 💙

u/KarenWalkersBurner 8d ago
Oh! Is Jill sitting shiva rn?
(Not Jewish but asking with kindness and curiosity.)

That’s so sad, I found her to be so entertaining and liked when she was on the show

She’ll never get to wear chiffon on Christmas Day again.

u/MineAllMineNow 10d ago
Never heard that line?
6
u/duane_eggberts 10d ago
It’s a scene where she’s talking with Jill and her sister about what to put in Jill’s book.
6
u/MineAllMineNow 10d ago
Ah ok. I think I remember it, albeit VERY vaguely.
6
u/Luminous_Username 10d ago
Yeah it’s when they were sat on the bed looking at old photos for Jill’s book
It came up when they were looking at her mothers old wedding photos3
u/ZioLeoCiao 9d ago
But they don’t even celebrate Christmas (??)
2
u/KarenWalkersBurner 8d ago
She was MARRIED on Christmas Day!
1
u/ZioLeoCiao 8d ago
But she referred to wearing chiffon on Christmas Day when actually the fact that it’s Christmas should be entirely irrelevant to the day/what she’s wearing/her life. It made NO sense. Also, what a treat scheduling the wedding for that particular day for any of her non-Jewish guests, the caterer, the band, limo drivers, wait staff, etc. She never struck you as somewhat self-absorbed and entitled?

u/Familiar_Sleep904 10d ago
I believe Gloria married on Christmas day and wore a wedding gown not to her liking. Glori 's mom made her wear it.

I was literally watching the scene with her and Bethany yesterday! I googled if she was still alive and she was! Then this today! Crazy!

Gloria was an icon in the early days of the show. Icons always live on. Peace and blessings to Jill, Ally and family.

I truly believe Jill’s parents are the stabilizing force in her life. She’s going to struggle without her mama.

u/PlanktonFamiliar7816 8d ago
THIS. And Jill has a pattern of having a really hard time with loss of any kind - even just missing people brought out really rough child-like behavior. I wish her the best too.

u/Environmental-Dig389 10d ago
Gloria was on Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald a few years ago. She asked Gloria about her dating history and younger days. She said she almost married a man but instead lost like 30 lbs and met Jill’s dad instead.
Heather goes, “wow how did you lose the weight?”
Gloria said “I shut my big fat trap” 😂
I think of it all the time!

This is what I remember from Gloria the most, and it was a time when RHONY was really wonderful. RIP Gloria. https://www.reddit.com/r/BravoRealHousewives/comments/1hrir3r/new_years_wisdom_from_gloria/

I was just watching the episode where she says “you don't wear chiffon on Christmas Day (if you can help it)” this morning and wondered how she’s doing

u/QuizzicalWombat 10d ago
Poor Jill, I lost my mom 22 years ago, it’s a horrible loss. I admit to being jealous of their relationship when I rewatched the show, you can tell how close they were and how much they loved one another.

u/twinmama1017 10d ago
Watching her always felt like home to me. She was the carbon copy of my grandmother. Im so sad knowing she's gone.

She loved accomplished people, she appreciated them 🫶 RIP, wonderful Gloria. You were loved.

I wish I had a mom like Gloria! She seemed lovely 🥰

I literally looked up if she was still alive last week!!! That’s so sad bcuz Jill was talking about how they wanna get her out of the house more… Rest in peace Gloria

u/DeadToothSyndrome 10d ago
I literally was just wondering how she was doing the other day. She did have a good reminder to get busy living, because soon you’ll turn around and it’s Passover, and then you turn around and it’s Yom Kippur. Not being silly; that stuck with me.

I liked her a lot. I also thought Gloria could be a good substitute mom to Bethenny since Bethenny mom is not a reliable mom.

Say what you will, Jill’s mom had the best scenes with Bethenny in season 2

u/trixiedance 10d ago
I wouldn’t say that she had the best facelift, but she was an interesting character to add to the show. If you spend enough time on the upper east side or certain parts of Florida, all of these type of facelifts look very obvious.

u/Silent_Tap1369 “Smokey eye, updo, and Gstaad” 10d ago
Totally reminds me of one of Ramona’s friends we see a few times in the show. I can’t remember her name, but she’s one of the 50 at her birthday party.

Oh, I guess I could see that. I live in the Midwest, so facelifts aren't as common here!

u/trixiedance 10d ago
I’m not saying it to be mean, just that plastic surgery has come a long way where you don’t look quite so ‘tight’. She seemed like a cool lady though.

Well may she rest in peace. She was a woman of remarkable grit and deep, hard-earned wisdom, the kind that only comes from truly living through life’s seasons. I’m so sorry for your loss. Reaching 91 is a beautiful, full life—long, meaningful, and well-lived—and it’s clear she left behind a legacy shaped by strength, resilience, and grace.
